Faroe Islands vs Montenegro Prediction: Away joy for Brave Falcons

Both the Faroe Islands and Montenegro need to win on Thursday to prolong their slim hopes of qualifying for the World Cup, and it could be a cagey Group L contest in Torshavn. Doing the double over Gibraltar has put the Faroes on six points, the same as Montenegro, who beat the same opponents in their opening qualifier before defeating Thursday's hosts 1-0 soon after.

It might be a bit livelier at Torsvollur, where both sides had scored in four games in a row before Croatia's 1-0 win at the ground in September. Eyoun Klakstein's side sat in for most of that match. However, Montenegro's games are rarely straightforward affairs, with a 2-2 friendly draw against Armenia and a 4-0 defeat to Croatia coming either side of a 2-0 loss to the Czech Republic.

There were 42 shots recorded in the defeat to the Czechs and 35 in the Croatia reverse and more goals could be on the agenda.
