Horse Racing Tips: Sergeant ready for battle at Ludlow

There are five race meetings taking place on Wednesday across the UK and Ireland, so that means I am spoilt for choice when it comes to selecting my Daily Double.
Having cast my eye over the schedule, two runners stick out for me at Ludlow and Nottingham. Below you will find my latest Horse Racing Tips.

14:35 Ludlow - Sergeant Fury @ 1/1
Eight hurdles must be navigated in this Class 4 handicap at Ludlow on Wednesday, and there are six runners declared for this contest. SERGEANT FURY for Harry Derham's yard is the one who I have my eye on here because he has made real progress this season.
The five-year-old gelding won twice in novice company earlier in the year, before making all at Newton Abott in July to complete a hat-trick of successes. The winning streak ended there in August despite a respectable second-place finish, and nothing should stop him from having another strong performance in this sphere.
His form puts him at the top of the list for this battle and I believe Sergeant Fury will be up for the fight once more.

16:30 Nottingham - Stormy Monday @ 4/1
It was just over a year ago when STORMY MONDAY claimed his maiden victory in a nursery handicap at Yarmouth (1m2f) to end his two-year-old season. It's taken some time but we are finally seeing some more progress from the colt, who belongs to Ed Walker's yard.
The three-year-old has enjoyed back-to-back successes at Epsom and Doncaster (both over 1m2f), which does continue to look like his preferred distance. He will contest this trip at Nottingham on Wednesday, and he heads to the East Midlands with strong claims.
Conditions are looking favourable, with all three of his wins to date coming on good to soft ground. There is a 5lb rise to consider here, but I think recent outings suggest that it shouldn't make too much of a hindrance to his performance.
