Norwich vs West Brom Prediction: Canaries poor home form to continue?

Norwich City have the small matter of an East Anglian Derby coming their way on Sunday, but before then they host West Brom (19:45, Sky Sports+), who drew 1-1 with Leicester City on Friday night.
Below you can find my Norwich vs West Brom predictions as we look to secure a Wednesday night winner.

Team News
Mathias Kvistgaarden is currently out injured for Norwich City, along with Shane Duffy. It means Josh Sargent will lead the line once again with five goals to his name, but the midfield behind him lacks creativity on paper.
Liam Gibbs, Kenny McLean and Pelle Mattsson started as the midfield three in the 1-1 draw with Stoke City, while Jovon Makamba got his first goal and should keep his place in the starting XI as a result. Ante Crnac could get a start along with Oscar Schwartau as Norwich search for more attacking thrust.
Jakov Medic and Harry Darling have formed a solid centre-back partnership that should continue in front of goalkeeper Vladan Kovacevic.
West Brom boss Ryan Mason will have been delighted with his team’s performance on Friday night, even though they ended up drawing 1-1 with Leicester. Samuel Iling-Junior scored from the right wing so will keep his place, Michael Johnston may start on the left, with Isaac Price in the number 10 role behind Aune Heggebo.
That means Josh Maja may have to settle for a place on the bench again, with Nat Phillips set to start alongside Chris Mepham at centre-back, after the former Liverpool man unfortunately turned the ball into his own net against the Foxes.
Norwich vs West Brom Predicted Lineups
- Norwich - Kovacevic; Stacey, Medic, Darling, Fisher; Mattsson, McLean; Makama, Crnac, Schwartau; Sargent
- West Brom - Griffiths; Campbell, Phillips, Mepham, Taylor; Molumby, Mowatt; Iling-Junior, Price, Johnston; Heggebo
Norwich are priced at 15/8 to win this game, giving them an implied win probability of 35%. West Brom are 6/4 and a draw is 23/10.
Over 2.5 goals is 1/1, BTTS is 8/11 and Sargent has been boosted from 5/1 to 6/1 to score first.
Norwich vs West Brom Stats
- Norwich have lost all three home games this season
- BTTS has come in during each of Norwich's home defeats
- Josh Sargent has scored six in eight in all competitions this term
Price Boost - Josh Sargent to score first @ 6/1
If there’s ever a Price Boost regarding Sargent finding the net, I’m going to take it. He remains in my eyes the best striker in the Championship and although I believe the supply line to him could be better this term, he is still a major danger in the box.
Five goals so far in the league and a further one in the Carabao Cup takes him to six from eight, and he is the clear favourite to win the Golden Boot in the second tier this term. He just has to stay fit and the goals will continue to flow. WBA could be a tough nut to crack, but getting 6/1 on Sargent to score first is massive.

West Brom to win and BTTS @ 18/5
I know I’ve just backed Sargent to score first, but I also think West Brom could come back and win from a goal down. Norwich have been pretty dreadful at home this season, losing three out of three, scoring four goals and conceding seven.
In each of those defeats, both teams have found the net, and it even stretches back to last season so that four of their last five home Championship games have ended with an away win and BTTS. West Brom are good enough to take advantage of an unconvincing Norwich outfit, and so I’d put a small stake on both of these selections.
