Football Bet of the Day: A ‘special’ evening is in store…

Tuesday night sees Jose Mourinho enjoy a homecoming to former side Chelsea, as his current Benfica team travel to Stamford Bridge for matchday two of the Champions League.
That match is the focus of our Football Bet of the Day for Tuesday, which you can find below.
Football Bet of the Day - Tuesday, September 30
- Benfica to win (vs Chelsea) @ 4/1
*odds correct at time of publication
Chelsea suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich in their opening Champions League encounter, and back-to-back defeats against Manchester United and Brighton and Hove Albion have followed in the Premier League.
After the high of lifting the Club World Cup over the summer, the Blues have been brought crashing down to earth to start the season, and their only win in the last five games has been against League 1 outfit Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup.
Benfica also lost their opening game in this competition, with Qarabag coming away from Lisbon with all three points, which proved to be Bruno Lage's last game in charge of the Portuguese giants, who have now turned to Mourinho for inspiration.
'The Special One' is undefeated in the Benfica dugout since taking over on September 18, and his side look capable of inflicting further misery upon Chelsea.
The Blues have a number of first-team players out injured, and they've gone down to 10 men in their last two Premier League games, so absent stars and poor discipline have really been hurting Enzo Maresca's side.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Chelsea have won one of their last five games in all competitions
- Benfica are unbeaten since Jose Mourinho's arrival
Given Chelsea's form and Benfica's record away from home, the visitors look good value to win on Tuesday night.
The Eagles are unbeaten away from home in their last 14 fixtures across competitions, and Chelsea's backline is decimated by injuries.
Maresca is expected to be without Levi Colwill, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Wesley Fofana for Tuesday's encounter, while the absences of Cole Palmer and Liam Delap hurt the Blues in attack.
Double Chance - Benfica or Draw was another bet we were considering for this game but for the added value, we're backing the visitors to give Mourinho a 'special' return to Stamford Bridge and take the three points back to Portugal.
