Tuesday night sees Jose Mourinho enjoy a homecoming to former side Chelsea, as his current Benfica team travel to Stamford Bridge for matchday two of the Champions League.

Chelsea suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich in their opening Champions League encounter, and back-to-back defeats against Manchester United and Brighton and Hove Albion have followed in the Premier League.

Benfica also lost their opening game in this competition, with Qarabag coming away from Lisbon with all three points, which proved to be Bruno Lage's last game in charge of the Portuguese giants, who have now turned to Mourinho for inspiration.

'The Special One' is undefeated in the Benfica dugout since taking over on September 18, and his side look capable of inflicting further misery upon Chelsea.

The Blues have a number of first-team players out injured, and they've gone down to 10 men in their last two Premier League games, so absent stars and poor discipline have really been hurting Enzo Maresca's side.

Given Chelsea's form and Benfica's record away from home, the visitors look good value to win on Tuesday night.

The Eagles are unbeaten away from home in their last 14 fixtures across competitions, and Chelsea's backline is decimated by injuries.

Maresca is expected to be without Levi Colwill, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Wesley Fofana for Tuesday's encounter, while the absences of Cole Palmer and Liam Delap hurt the Blues in attack.
