Valencia vs Real Oviedo Betting Tips: Hosts could be hard to break down

Valencia host struggling Real Oviedo in La Liga on Monday and the home side are expected to outclass their visitors at the Mestalla Stadium (20:00).

Los Che were thrashed 6-0 by champions Barcelona earlier this month but they have taken seven points from their first three home fixtures, which includes an impressive 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao last time out. Real Oviedo have lost five of their first six games on their return to the top flight of Spanish football although they were leading until the 56th minute of last weekend's 3-1 home defeat to Barca.

Valencia coach Carlos Corberan has a fully-fit squad for Monday's game so Hugo Duro and Arnaut Danjuma, who both scored in the 2-2 draw at Espanyol last time out, should start up front.

Javi Guerra came on as a late substitute in that game and is expected to return to midfield at the expense of Pepelu.

Real Oviedo welcome back Federico Vinas from suspension but Ovie Ejaria and David Costas face fitness tests. Lucas Ahijado continues at right-back as Nacho Vidal and Alvaro Lemos are injured.

Another victory to nil could be on the cards against Real Oviedo, who are struggling to find their feet after coming up from the Segunda Division.

They have lost all three of their away games without scoring a goal, at Villarreal, Getafe and Elche, and were also beaten 3-0 at home by Real Madrid.

The uncompromising defender has started his eighth season at the club in similar fashion, racking up three cautions in four starts in La Liga, and he may well add to his card collection on Monday.

Real Oviedo have struggled for goals in the top flight but they won six corners in their defeat to Barca last time out.

The underdogs could have some success in that department against a Valencia side who have conceded an average of 5.8 corners per game this season.
