West Ham suffered their third defeat in four Premier League matches, all by 3+ goal margins, at home to Tottenham Hotspur (0-3) last weekend, and face another tricky London derby on Saturday (15:00 BST), when they host unbeaten Crystal Palace at the London Stadium.

Below are my West Ham vs Crystal Palace predictions, alongside all the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek will miss the first of three Premier League games on Saturday following his straight red card against Spurs. Summer signing Soungoutou Magassa, who made his Irons debut as a 60th-minute substitute last weekend, could come in for his first start.

Callum Wilson and Niclas Fullkrug are options if Graham Potter elects to start with a recognised number nine, while Brighton & Hove Albion loanee Igor will be hoping to make his debut after remaining rooted to the bench last Saturday.

Football Odds

Palace's treatment room is busy at the moment, with Cheick Doucoure, Chadi Riad (both knee), Eddie Nketiah (hamstring), Adam Wharton (groin), Ismaila Sarr (thigh) and Caleb Kporha (back) all injured. Nketiah and Wharton have outside chances of making Saturday's game.

Eagles head coach Oliver Glasner made four changes to his starting XI for the midweek Carabao Cup triumph on penalties over Millwall. Expect Dean Henderson, Chris Richards, Tyrick Mitchell and Jefferson Lerma to all return at the London Stadium, with Walter Benitez, Jaydee Canvot, Borna Sosa and Romain Esse dropping down to the bench.

Today's Football Fixtures

West Ham vs Crystal Palace Odds

West Ham have a rotten home record against Palace, failing to win any of the last six head-to-heads at the London Stadium. The Irons are 21/10, or a 32.3% chance, to end the Eagles' unbeaten run this season and secure a first home victory over their city rivals since December 2018, while the visitors are 7/5 (41.7%) to follow up January's 2-0 win in east London with another three points collection on Saturday.

Six of Palace's eight matches this season have ended in draws in regulation time, and a seventh in nine can be backed here at 23/10.

West Ham vs Crystal Palace Stats

  • Under 25.5 shots has landed in five of the last six H2Hs
  • All four of West Ham's PL games this term have produced 24 or fewer shots
  • Three of Crystal Palace's league matches have gone under 25.5
  • Yeremy Pino (CRY) has committed three fouls in both PL apps so far (one start)
  • Pino was booked 11 times in La Liga last season

Total Shots Over/Under +25.5 - Under 25.5 @ 10/11

This bet has landed in five of the last six meetings between West Ham and Crystal Palace, including a 4-3 win for Palace in April 2023, and a 5-2 victory for the Eagles in April 2024. It was also a winner the last time they played each other, at the London Stadium in January this year, when a Jean-Philippe Mateta brace secure all three points for the visitors, who topped the shot count (7-12).

All four of West Ham's league games this season have seen 24 or fewer shots, with 21 recorded in last Saturday's loss to Spurs.

Thirty shots were taken in Palace's opening-weekend stalemate with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but their following three league matches have produced 17, 19 and 20 against Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Sunderland, respectively, while there were 25 registered in their 1-1 draw with Millwall in midweek, before they won on penalties.

West Ham and Palace have both scored four goals in as many Premier League games this season, and neither were free-scoring last season, netting 46 and 51 times, respectively.

Player to Receive a Card - Yeremy Pino (CRY) @ 4/1

Yeremy Pino was Palace's biggest summer signing, joining Villarreal in a deal worth £26m. He was assigned the number 10 shirt, replacing the outgoing Eberechi Eze, and will be expected to fill the creative void left by the England international.

Pino provided seven assists in La Liga last season, an encouraging return for a player who only turns 23 next month.

However, it's his yellow card numbers that stick out to me, as he was cautioned 11 times in 34 appearances (25 starts), despite averaging just 57 minutes on the pitch per game.

Pino averaged 1.4 fouls per game, which was actually down on his previous full season, in 2022/23 - he missed most of the following campaign with an ACL injury - when he averaged 1.8 fouls per game and picked up eight yellows.

The 22-year-old hasn't been booked in three outings so far for the Eagles, but he committed three fouls on his debut against Aston Villa, despite only coming on in the 71st minute, and gave away the same number of free-kicks in his first start against Sunderland. He also made one foul in midweek against Millwall.

A London derby creates the ideal conditions to back a first Palace card for Pino, who has featured mostly from the left so far in England. Should he feature from that side again on Saturday, he could be in regular contact with Irons right-back Kyle Walker-Peters, who has been fouled four times across three league games (two starts) this season, and averaged 1.6 fouls won per game in 2024/25 for Southampton.
