Bournemouth vs Brighton (15:00) @ 4/6

Bournemouth bounced back from their 4-2 defeat at Anfield on the opening night with two really impressive 1-0 wins, over Wolves at home and Tottenham away. I’m hoping to see a bit more attacking spark from the hosts in this game with Antoine Semenyo on fire so far, and Brighton look to be a good sparring partner for them on Saturday afternoon.

Fabian Hurzeler saw his side get a valuable three points, with a 2-1 win over Man City last time out while they also hammered Oxford United 6-0 in the Carabao Cup. Brighton won both of these fixtures by a 2-1 scoreline last season so out of all of the Premier League fixtures, this looks to be the one that will contain the most goals - and I’d back both teams to find the net, and over 2.5 goals to kick off our acca.

Wrexham vs QPR  (15:00) @ 10/11

Wrexham have conceded the highest xG per 90 in the Championship this season (2.21) and there are severe defensive concerns for them, although Phil Parkinson will hope the arrival of Dom Hyam will sort things out at the back.

They have been decent going forward though, scoring seven, with Kieffer Moore a serious danger. QPR got hit for seven at Coventry and have unsurprisingly conceded the most goals in the league. Both teams have scored in all of their matches, with Richard Kone a threat up top, scoring two in two since his arrival from Wycombe Wanderers. There should be goals.

Coventry City vs Norwich City (15:00) @ 8/11

Coventry have broken the Championship goalscoring record by scoring 14 goals in four matches, hitting seven past QPR and five against Derby County in notable wins. They are now joint-second favourites to win the league, but defensively they have been suspect, conceding eight goals this season - all from set pieces.

Given Norwich City possess the best striker in the league in the form of Josh Sargent, who has five goals in four games already, and they’ve won both away league matches, I think this will be a high-scoring affair.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Bristol City (15:00) @ 10/11

Sheffield Wednesday have made it through the transfer window, but they were barely able to strengthen their squad due to EFL restrictions. It means they’ve been left short in key areas, and even starting XI looks weak on paper. Henrik Pedersen motivated the side well in the opening matches, but now the dust has settled, it feels to me as though their severe lack of quality will become apparent.

They’ve got one point on the board so far, but I just think the match-up against Bristol City won’t suit them at all. Gerhard Struber’s side have been aggressive in their pressing, and they have plenty of quality as they have shown by scoring nine goals in four games so far. I’m expecting a big away win, and over 2.5 goals.

Stockport County vs Cardiff City (15:00) @ 1/1

A true heavyweight clash in League 1 comes our way on Saturday, and I’m expecting an entertaining clash. Cardiff City have enjoyed a fine start under new boss Brian Barry-Murphy, winning five, drawing once and only conceding one goal in the process. That defensive record gives us this big price for over 2.5 goals as they travel to Stockport, to face a promotion rival.

County have been hit and miss so far this season and surprisingly lost 4-2 at Plymouth last time out, while they beat Wolves U21 5-3 in the EFL Trophy. There’s plenty of goals at both ends in Stockport games, with five of their seven League 1 fixtures ending with three goals or more.
