Pafos vs Red Star Belgrade Prediction: Experience to count in Cyprus

A place in the Uefa Champions League league phase is the prize dangling in front of Cypriot side Pafos as they get ready to face Red Star Belgrade in the second leg of their qualifier.

Pafos won the first leg 2-1 in Serbia, goals from Joao Correia and Pepe putting them on the brink of a famous achievement. The second is being played in Limassol, away from Pafos' usual home ground, on Tuesday evening (20:00 BST, live on TNT Sports 1). Boss Juan Carlos Carcedo has got Pafos within 90 minutes of the Champions League proper. He's unlikely to ring the changes after enjoying a win in the first leg, but Domingos Quina is available again after serving a suspension.

Joao Correia netted in the first leg and should once more be deployed behind Anderson Silva and Muamer Tankovic.

Similarly for Red Star, Brazilian centre-back Rodrigao and ex-AC Milan midfielder Rade Krunic are in contention after bans, while Marko Arnautovic could make his first start and Nemanja Radonjic is available after injury.

The first contest was an open affair between these two and it looks probable the second leg will follow a similar pattern.

Pafos had 14 attempts at goal and scored twice in Belgrade, while Red Star had a whopping 26 attempts at goal and returned an xG figure of 2.38.

The visiting side will play on the front foot again and it could be another contest in which both teams find the net.

Red Star won away at Young Boys in the league phase last season and were only denied by a late goal against AC Milan in the San Siro as they lost 2-1.

They were 3-1 winners at Lech Poznan in the previous round this season and have won all three games on their travels.

Aleksandar Katai anytime scorer @ 2/1

Veteran forward Aleksandar Katai has been used sparingly by Red Star in Europe recently. He got 22 minutes in the first leg but couldn't help restore parity.

He has six goals in his last three starts in all competitions and also came off the bench to net a brace in the rout of Beograd in the Super Liga last month.

The visitors could be chasing goals here and, whether starting or springing from the bench, his recent run of goals is promising.
