York Ebor Day 3 Tips: Al Qareem could cause an upset

The penultimate day of the York Ebor Festival gets underway on Friday and another cracking seven-race card lies in store. My Wednesday selections were largely successful with a 7/4 winner and an 11/2 runner-up, as I await Thursday's results at the time of writing.
Below you will find my York Ebor Day 3 Tips.
York Ebor Day 3 Tips - Friday, August 22
*odds correct at time of publication
14:25 York - Al Qareem EW @ 7/1
The second race of the day is this Class 1 Group 2 Stakes contest over 2m 1/2f and there is a small field of six runners declared for this one. John & Thady Gosden's entry Trawlerman, ridden by the experienced William Buick is the heavy favourite at 8/13 (at the time of writing).
He has strong claims having won on his past two outings, but so has AL QAREEM for Karl Burke's yard. His recent successes both came at this course over 1m 6f, but more will be asked of him over this longer trip.
The six-year-old son of Awtaad now has 11 career successes, with three coming this season. Like Trawlerman, he heads to the Ebor Festival with momentum behind him, and because he offers better value at 7/1, I think he could be a shrewd selection each-way.
Clifford Lee, who was on board for his recent successes, is booked for this ride, too.

15:00 York - Do Or Do Not @ 13/8
DO OR DO NOT is still seeking her first career success but there is a lot to like about this maiden and a victory doesn't feel like it is too far away. She has already impressed by placing in the Coventry at Royal Ascot, July Stakes at Newmarket and Vintage at Goodwood.
The two-year-old daugher of Space Blues has strong credentials coming into this Group 2 Stakes contest at the Ebor Festival. She's currently priced as the favourite and for good reason. This might be the opportunity she and trainer Ed Walker have been waiting for to get off the mark.
The experienced Tom Marquand is on board for this ride, having been her rider on the past three occasions. This, along with the first-time headgear is hoped to have the desired effect in York.

15:35 York - Lady Iman @ 4/1
This Group 1 Stakes race looks to be a cracking contest, with a stacked field of 17 horses declared over a distance of 5f.
There are a few notable contenders for this one, who may all be worth a punt but the one I'm drawn to is LADY IMAN for Ger Lyons' yard. The two-year-old filly has won four of her five starts to date with her only defeat coming at Naas over 6f. Her run before that yielded a victory over that distance at Curragh in June, however.
This is a stronger field than some of the ones she has been involved in so far but this track does look like it will suit her and the serious weight concessions from some of her older rivals may hand her another advantage.
I think she's currently priced as the favourite for the reason. And she's rightly getting backed.
