Later in the day, we head to Denmark, before ending the evening in Turkey, where the 2025/26 league season begins with the reigning champions in action.

To Win to Nil - FC Seoul (H) To Win to Nil vs Daegu FC (11:30 BST) @ 13/10

Seoul appear to be over their K League 1 slump, when they picked up just four points in seven games (D4, L3) between the start of April and mid-May. They've lost just two of their last 11 league matches (W6, D3, L2), and are up to fourth, just three points behind second-place Gimcheon Sangmu.

On Friday, they host bottom-of-the-table Daegu, who won their first two games of the season but have tasted victory just once in their last 22, and that was 14 games ago on May 3.

Football Odds

The visitors have lost their last three in the South Korean top flight, failing to score in their most recent two, a 4-0 hiding at FC Anyang and a 1-0 defeat at home to Pohang Steelers, while Barcelona thrashed them 5-0 in a friendly on Monday.

Seoul have also recently suffered a heavy loss to Barcelona, going down 7-3 last Thursday, but have kept two clean sheets in their last three K League 1 matches, including last time out at Daejeon (0-1).

They beat Ulsan Hyundai FC 1-0 in their last home game, and only runaway leaders Jeonbuk (19) have conceded fewer goals than the Dark Red Warriors (23) in their first 24 outings.

Daegu are the division's lowest scorers (24 goals), and joint-lowest (11) away from home, and in May's reverse fixture at the DGB Daegu Bank Park, they lost 1-0, so a Seoul win to nil takes my fancy here at 13/10.

To Win to Nil - Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (H) To Win to Nil vs FC Anyang (11:30 BST) @ 13/8

Jeonbuk are 15 points clear at the top of the K League 1 and appear destined to end Ulsan's three-year dominance, claiming their first league title since 2021. Gus Poyet's charges are unbeaten in all competitions since March 13, and haven't suffered a domestic defeat since March 9.

Friday's hosts have lost just once in the league all season, and that was on matchday two on March 1. They've won eight of their last nine (W8, D1) competition games, including their last four, and next up for Jeonbuk are Anyang, who are second-bottom and have lost four of their last five matches (W1, L4), blanking in two of those defeats.

Today's Football Fixtures

Anyang have struggled for goals on their travels, netting just 12 times in as many matches, and at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium in Jeonju, they will be up against a side they lost 1-0 at home and 2-0 away to last season.

Jeonbuk have kept a clean sheet in 38% (nine) of their 24 league matches this term, and I expect them to record a 10th shutout on Friday in a routine victory.

Match Result - FC Kobenhavn (H) to beat AGF Aarhus (17:00 BST) @ 3/5

FC Copenhagen (Kobenhavn) have made a terrific start to the new campaign, winning their first five games, three in the Danish Superliga, and both legs of their Uefa Champions League second-round qualifying tie with Drita before drawing 0-0 at Swedish side Malmo on Tuesday.

The second leg of that third-round qualifier takes place at Parken Stadium next week, but first, Jacob Neestrup's side entertain Aarhus in the league.

Unlike early pacesetters FC Copenhagen, who have already beaten Viborg (2-3), Vejle (2-0) and Fredericia (0-2), Aarhus are yet to win this season, drawing 1-1 at Sonderjyske and 0-0 at home to Midtjylland, either side of a 2-1 loss at home to Randers.

The visitors lost three of their four head-to-heads with FC Copenhagen in 2024/25, including both in the capital (3-2 and 3-1), and ended up 23 points behind the champions, who have won three of the last four titles.

The hosts have a big game on the horizon, but playing on a Friday allows three full days' rest ahead of their second leg with Malmo, so I don't see a particularly weakened side lining up against Aarhus, and they should have more than enough to claim all three points here.

Match Result - Galatasaray SK (A) to beat Gazisehir Gaziantep F.K. (19:30 BST) @ 3/10

Likewise, reigning Super Lig champions Galatasaray should prove too strong for Gaziantep in their season-opener at the Kalyon Stadyumu.

Unlike FC Copenhagen, Gala won't enjoy the benefits of home advantage on Friday, but they've won the last six head-to-heads (albeit one victory was awarded without a ball being kicked) since a 3-1 loss in March 2022, securing a 1-0 success on this ground last season thanks to a fifth-minute strike from Ahmed Kutucu.

Gaziantep finished 14th in the 19-team table, two places and eight points above the relegation zone, and ended the campaign without a win in their last seven games (D3, L4), while their winless run has extended into pre-season, with a 3-2 defeat to Kayserispor and a 0-0 draw with Alanyaspor their only friendlies played.

Gala were 50 points ahead in first as they lifted their third consecutive Super Lig trophy, and they've geared up for the new term with four wins and a draw in pre-season.

The visitors have managed to sign Victor Osimhen permanently after a successful loan spell from Napoli in 2024/25, while Germany international Leroy Sane was a big-name addition after his contract at Bayern Munich expired. Osimhen and Sane is an exciting link-up in Istanbul, and if they find any sort of form on Friday, it could be a long evening for the hosts.
