1991 European Cup winners Red Star Belgrade welcome Lincoln Red Imps to the Red Star Stadium today, in the second leg of their second qualifying round Champions League Tie (20:00).

Vladan Milojevic’s men won the first leg 1-0 at Victoria Stadium, but were hampered by a first-half red card for Seoul Young-woo. The slender scoreline gives Lincoln a lifeline for this second leg tie.

Team News

Red Star will be without the suspended Seoul Young-woo after a red card in the first leg for violent conduct.

Football Odds

The Star could hand a debut to free agent signing Marko Arnautovic. The Austria international was part of two Inter Milan squads that reached the final of this competition, including the 2010 side who won this honour under Jose Mourinho. But the ex-West Ham United man did not feature in either final.

29-time Gibraltan champions Lincoln are expected to bring a full compliment to Serbia for this tie.

Red Star Belgrade vs Lincoln Red Imps Odds

The historic Serbian side are clear favourites at 1/20, rendering their struggles in the narrow first leg more aberration than expectation. This gives The Red-Whites a 95.2% implied probability of victory.

The visitors put up a real fight in that 1-0 defeat, but they are a 20/1 shot to pull off the upset in Belgrade. The draw is priced at 17/2, though with such a slender lead it is hard to see the favourites playing for one.

Red Star Belgrade to win with a -3 goal handicap @ 7/5

The first game was tight and Red Imps worked hard to make it so. But there was obvious mitigation. The dismissal of Young-woo, an influential figure in the Belgrade back line, necessitated some caution. There was also the small matter of Oscar Duarte having put the favourites a goal up 10 minutes before the red card.

Away from home, Red Star concentrated on emerging with something, knowing they could return to Serbia and flex their might. OFK Beograd felt that thunder in the league on Saturday, with Red Star running riot 7-1.

There were six different scorers in that scintillating evisceration. That is without new boy Arnautovic, another renowned goal threat available to manager Vladan Milojevic. I think Red Star will score plenty of goals tonight, certainly enough to hand them a win even if you wiped three of them.

Total Goals Over 4.5 @ 13/8

A supporting tip to my previous offering. I truly believe there are goals in this one. Perhaps not the heaven of another seven, but I do think Red Star will run riot.

A club with the rich vein of history running through it, the only one from Eastern Europe to win both the European and Intercontinental Cup, they will not rest on their laurels in a Champions League tie. Even with that 1-0 lead from the first leg, I reckon the Serbian champions will want to punish their opponents.

This tip also gives us a little insurance in case The Imps nick a little something on the counter against a less familiar Belgrade back line, robbed of their South Korea international.
