Team News
Juanjo Bezares has no injury concerns heading into this game, as Lincoln Red Imps have just come off the back of a two-month break. New arrival Christian Rutjens made his debut in the first leg as part of the back four and should start again having joined from Europa FC.
In fact, Bezares may just name the same team after a decent performance in that away leg, which would see Bernardo Lopes lead from midfield after his brace in the Faroe Islands.
Lincoln Red Imps vs Vikingur Stats
*Odds correct at time of writing
Johan Petur Poulsen, the Vikingur manager, will be without midfielder Olaf Bardarson, who is suspended after being shown a straight red card just seven minutes after coming on as a substitute in the first leg. The rest of his squad is fit and healthy so Poul Kallsberg will try and find the net at the top end of the pitch.
Lincoln Red Imps vs Vikingur Odds
Lincoln Red Imps are priced at 10/11 to win this game, giving them an implied win probability of 52%. Vikingur are available at 12/5 while a draw is 5/2 - but the away side do need a victory in 90 minutes to stand a chance of progressing.
Over 2.5 goals is 8/11, BTTS is 4/6 and Lincoln Red Imps are 15/8 to keep a clean sheet.
Lincoln Red Imps to win @ 10/11
Lincoln have won nine of their 10 home games so bringing a lead back to Victoria Stadium is massive for their chances of progression. The Gibraltan champions secured a 3-2 win away from home and they were the better team according to the stats, while Bardarson’s red card weakens the visitors for this rematch.
The two-month break doesn’t appear to have led to rust for the hosts and they have picked up where they left off in May. Their last game prior to this tie was a win over Manchester 62, that saw them pick up their seventh-consecutive Gibraltan title, and they have now won their last eight matches in all competitions. This should be relatively straightforward stuff for the hosts at a decent price.

Lincoln Red Imps to keep a clean sheet @ 15/8
There were loads of goals in the first leg, but I’m expecting something different for the rematch. Lincoln know that they will progress if they keep things tight at the back - and it turns out that they are pretty good at doing just that.
Vikingur face a massive task here given that Lincoln Red Imps have a wonderful defensive record when playing at home, keeping clean sheets in nine of their last 13 home fixtures. Given they are also on a remarkable winning streak and look like the better team here, I think we can back them to keep the visitors at bay and progress to the second qualifying round in consecutive seasons.
