Wimbledon Betting Tips: Sinner to exact his revenge against Alcaraz

The excitement is building for the Wimbledon men's singles final on Sunday and as many expected ahead of the tournament, it is going to be contested by the top two players in the world - Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. The duo are far and away the best players on the ATP Tour right now and we are all hoping for a spectacle similar to that of their recent Grand Slam final tussle at Roland Garros.
Below I preview the showpieces taking place on Centre Court, where you will also find my final Wimbledon Betting Tips of the year.

Set Betting - Jannik Sinner to beat Carlos Alcaraz 3-2 @ 9/2
Top seed Sinner will be equally looking forward to this rematch as he is dreading it. His defeat in the final at the French Open is still fresh and it was a haunting contest.
The Italian had three Championship points at two sets up, which Alcaraz defended before coming from behind to take the title. Physically and mentally, that one was tough to take for Sinner, but this has only fueled him at Wimbledon.
Previously, the 23-year-old has competed but never looked as assured on grass in comparison to the other surfaces, but there have been improvements. In the last three years he has gone from the quarter-finals to the semi-finals and now the final.
He has been speaking about how he feels more comfortable on grass now and no longer struggles with his movement. This has been clear over the past couple of weeks and bar one sub-par display in his fortunate bye against Grigor Dimitrov, Sinner has been levels above his opponents, including the ageing superstar Novak Djokovic, whom he defeated in straight sets in the previous round.
The world number one's progression to Sunday's showpiece at Wimbledon makes it a fourth-straight appearance in a Grand Slam final, highlighting just how much he has propelled his game in the past 18 months.
After his crushing defeat to Alcaraz at Roland Garros last month, Sinner will likely be better prepared for this battle, but he will also need to be clinical in the key moments of the match. His Spanish counterpart has not been at his absolute best throughout Wimbledon, but it signifies just how talented he is as he can still overwhelm his opponents in such scenarios.

Alcaraz's toughest test came against Taylor Fritz, the world number five, in the semi-finals. The American did put the second seed under pressure but Alcaraz's experience and talent were able to get him over the line and into his third consecutive Wimbledon final.
He holds the mental advantage ahead of his rematch against Sinner, having triumphed in each of the past five meetings with the Italian, including his historic comeback victory at Roland Garros.
Regardless, he knows he faces another difficult challenge in facing Sinner again in a major final, and as fans I think we will be treated to some more extraordinary tennis. Alcaraz is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Djokovic, Roger Federer, Pete Sampras and Bjorn Bjorg in winning three consecutive Wimbledon crowns, which would be a phenomenal feat for the 22-year-old.
He has an impeccable record on this surface and at SW19 in particular, but there have been a few errors on show this year which have made some of his matches tighter than expected. Sinner has the quality to punish him if he opens the door, especially as his own performances on grass have been drawing him closer to the Spaniard's level.
I think out of the two of them, Sinner has performed the best at Wimbledon over the past two weeks, but of course it will all come down to who is the best player on the day in Sunday's final. Sinner has taken a hammering against his opponent in the recent contests they have had, so it feels like his fortune has to change sooner rather than later.
After his heartbreak in Paris, he will be hungry to ensure that doesn't happen again this time around. This is a final that will once again push both players to their limit and I do think this will follow Roland Garros in going the distance - and I believe Sinner will be able to exact his revenge.
