Lucky 15 Tips: Four to follow on Friday

With lots of race meetings on Friday there is plenty to choose from on both sides of the Irish sea.

Below are my Lucky 15 tips for Friday from all the action to choose from, with selections from Ascot, Newmarket, Cork and Kilbeggan.

15:10 Ascot – Lakers @ 10/3

LAKERS won on his first start following a wind operation at Newmarket last time out and a repeat of this effort will likely be good enough to make it successive wins.

It was an impressive victory on reappearance and confirms the promise of his form last season where he finished behind high class colts Shadow Of Light and Lazy Griff.

Lakers has only gone up 4lb for the recent win and if continuing on the path his compatriots from his two-year-old days have taken, he can finish with his head in front one more.

15:35 Newmarket – Cinderella’s Dream @ 9/4

This is a hot contest with Royal Ascot form firmly on display, and it can pay to take on the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes winner Crimson Advocate with runner up CINDERELLA'S DREAM. Things didn’t work out that day for the Godolphin filly, but her body of form prior to that is superior to that of her rivals.

Whilst the mile likely isn’t her strongest trip it shouldn’t pose any issues, and with a stronger pace to aim at she can do much better than at Ascot when she possibly had excuses, including the race not being run to suit her.

Crimson Advocate is her biggest threat but I’m confident she can turn the form around and get back to winning ways.

17:12 Cork – Luker’s Tipple @ 11/10

Those who have been supporting LUKER'S TIPPLE have had plenty to be disappointed by and he has no doubt proved frustrating to follow. There are questions over his will to win, but this looks the perfect opportunity to shed his maiden tag over hurdles.

He has followed twice behind Mick Collins on his last two starts and that form has a strong look to it with that winner finishing a good second since those races.

He ran a good race in the Fred Winter at the Cheltenham Festival and has been on an upward trajectory since. Provided he continues this trend, he should be too good in this field.

17:30 Kilbeggan – Boston Rajj @ 4/1

Favourite backers had plenty to be disappointed with when BOSTON RAJJ was last seen and only able to finish second behind an outsider. This isn’t something to be too disheartened by, however, as he still ran well to finish second.

A slight step up in trip here will play to his strengths though in what is a modest handicap.

His mark of 114 likely underplays the ability he possesses and he is another who can return to winning ways.

Top jockey Jack Kennedy takes the ride and this can only be a positive. This should be a win for the team from Cullentra.
