Wimbledon Betting Tips: Cameron to cause Carlos problems?

The last 16 of the Men's and Women's Singles ended on Monday, with the quarter-finals set to start on Tuesday. There are two matches from the Men's and a couple from the Women's to take in, and three of those feature in my Wimbledon Betting Tips for Tuesday, July 8.
Check out my three selections below, headlined by the main man, Carlos Alcaraz.

- Total Games - Over 32.5 in Cameron Norrie (GBR) vs Carlos Alcaraz (ESP) @ 4/5

Set Betting - Taylor Fritz (USA) 3-1 vs Karen Khachanov (Wrl) @ 5/2
The USA No. 1, Taylor Fritz, who won the Eastbourne Open last month, has had to battle his way to the second week of this year's Wimbledon, overcoming Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard and Gabriel Diallo in the first two rounds, both in five sets, before beating Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in four in the third round.
The 27-year-old was given a break in the last 16 on Sunday as, one set up and three games to love in the second set, his opponent, Jordan Thompson, retired due to injury, saving Fritz more time on court, and allowing him to rest up ahead of Tuesday's match against Karen Khachanov, who beat Kamil Majchrzak in straight sets on the weekend.
That was the Russian's second three-set success at this year's tournament, the first in the opening round against Mackenzie McDonald, but he was forced to five in the second and third rounds against Shintaro Mochizuki and Nuno Borges, respectively.
The 29-year-old has won both previous head-to-heads against Fritz, but the two matches have been on hard courts, and the most recent back in January 2020, so I'm not reading much, if anything, into those results.
Fritz is certainly in the more successful phase of his career, as evidenced by his world ranking (fifth), and I expect him to win this quarter-final tie and reach the semi-finals.
However, Khachanov can make things competitive, at least, and force the American to four sets.

Total Games - Over 32.5 in Cameron Norrie (GBR) vs Carlos Alcaraz (ESP) @ 4/5
Two-time defending champion Alcaraz hasn't had it all his own way so far this year, losing four sets across the first four rounds, in stark contrast to his closest rival, Jannik Sinner, who didn't drop a set in his first three matches.
Alcaraz was taken to five sets by 38-year-old Fabio Fognini in the first round, four by Jan-Lennard Struff in the third, and four by Andrey Rublev in the last 16. The Spaniard has only managed to beat Oliver Tarvet in straight sets in the second round.
Great Britain's last hope in the men's and women's singles, Cameron Norrie, battled through against the big-serving Chilean Nicolas Jarry on Sunday, beating the 29-year-old in five sets to make it to the second week at this year's Wimbledon.
It was a much more gruelling match for Norrie than in the previous three rounds, where he first beat Roberto Bautista-Agut in four sets, Frances Tiafoe in four, and then Mattia Bellucci in three, although the first two still went over 32.5 games.
Like Norrie, Alcaraz has only seen one of his matches so far go under 32.5 games, and while the reigning champion is expected to increase his level as the tournament progresses, he might be pushed to 33+ again on Tuesday against a player who, playing in his homeland, might enjoy as much, if not more, support than the Spaniard, which is a rarity given the popularity of Alcaraz across the globe.
Norrie has won two of the last three head-to-heads in three sets, albeit he has never faced Alcaraz on grass before, and he could push his opponent to four sets on Tuesday, or at least make it a highly competitive three-setter.

Set Betting - Amanda Anisimova (USA) 2-1 vs Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (Wrl) @ 11/4
In the Women's Singles, Amanda Anisimova takes on Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in their fourth career meeting.
Anisimova won all three of their previous head-to-heads, including both matches last year, but the American has never faced off against the Russian on grass before.
It's been pretty plain-sailing for Anisimova so far, with a couple of straight-set successes over Yulia Putintseva and Renata Zarazua in the first and second rounds, respectively, before being forced into a third by Dalma Galfi (third) and Linda Noskova (fourth), although the latter two didn't require a tiebreaker to finish things off.
Pavlyuchenkova, meanwhile, was taken to three sets by Ajla Tomljanovic and Naomi Osaka in the first and third rounds, respectively, but dealt with Ashlyn Krueger (second) and Sonay Kartal (fourth) in two.
The 34-year-old should be full of belief ahead of her quarter-final tie with Anisimova, although she will accept the underdog tag against the American, who required a third set to beat her at the Washington Open last July.
Anisimova should progress to the semi-finals, but I like the look of a three-set victory at 11/4.
