Palmeiras vs Botafogo Bet Builder Tips: 17/2 treble for all-Brazilian affair

An all-Brazilian affair takes place at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday (17:00 BST, live on Betfred.com) as Palmeiras and Botafogo will lock horns to determine who will be the first side to advance to the finals of the Fifa Club World Cup.

As mentioned in the introduction, Palmeiras finished top of Group A after drawing with Porto and Inter Miami, and beating Al Ahly.

They were trailing Inter Miami 2-0 on matchday three when a loss would have bumped them down to second, but two late goals saw them earn the point they needed to win the group.

Botafogo managed to get the better of Seattle Sounders and PSG in their first two games before narrowly losing to Atletico Madrid 1-0 - although a heavier defeat would have seen the Spanish side advance.

Palmeiras are four points above Botafogo in the Brazilian Serie A, and I think they'll get the better of the opponents when the sides clash on Saturday evening.

They showed plenty of character coming from two goals down to draw with Inter Miami last time out, and while Botafogo delivered one of the shocks of the tournament by beating PSG, I expect Abel Ferreria's side to edge this contest.

Jose Manuel Lopez to score anytime @ 2/1

Lopez has made two of his three appearances for Palmeiras so far off the bench, so I'm going to back him to score anytime rather than first.

The 24-year-old has registered eight shots so far at the Club World Cup - more than any other Palmeiras player - and he even scored in the 2-0 win over Al Ahly.

The Argentine is certainly one to watch when it comes to the anytime goalscorer market, and I think he's reasonably priced at 2/1.

Important games between Brazilian sides are often scrappy affairs as winning comes before anything else. This is also likely to be the case in Philadelphia with plenty at stake for both sides.

These two played out a 0-0 draw in a league game back in March, so the odds point towards another low-scoring game on Saturday - Palmeiras have kept nine clean sheets in their last 13 fixtures, and six of Botafogo's last eight games have featured less than two goals.
