Lucky 15 Tips: Seaside special – Aye Aye, Captain!

How about a little trip to the coast for Friday's Lucky 15 tips? Yarmouth was the first racecourse I ever attended, but no Lucky 15s for me - I was in my pushchair. Happy days ...
Action kicks in for the seven-race card at 14:00, and it's sure to be entertaining.
Lucky 15 Tips - Friday, June 27
Yarmouth
14:00 - The Feminine Urge @ 11/4
Three-year-old Mehmas filly who is two-from-12 so far and has been dropped a pound by the handicapper for an ordinary effort 31 days ago at Wolverhampton (beaten 4.25l, running-on).
The Feminine Urge is with George Scott at Newmarket, and Callum Shepherd rides. Big chance, especially getting such a nice chunk of weight from course winner Angle Land.
15:00 - Captain Brett @ 11/10
Dave Simcock trains this three-year-old Sea The Moon gelding, and Mr Shepherd once again has the riding assignment.
Captain Brett is a doughty stayer who is still looking for that elusive first career win. He's run here before once (disappeared without trace), but that was on only his second start, and the last two spins have been consistent and encouraging.
Reward for that consistency could well be at hand.
16:08 - Blue Rc @ 11/10
The outstanding Cliff Lee, integral to the workings of the mighty Karl Burke yard, gets the leg up here on James Tate's Blue Rc.
This three-year-old Blue Point colt won readily last time 10 days ago at Thirsk over 7f, and gets to stretch out over a mile this afternoon.
His sire only went as far as 7f once but his dam is by an Epsom Derby winner and a follow-up is very much on the cards in my book, on what will be his fifth start (won first time out, too).
Progressive, and potentially useful. Up 6lb for that last success, which looks fair.
16:40 - Dark Side Thunder @ 2/1
A field perhaps short on numbers but certainly not intrigue.
Dark Side Thunder is another coming here off the back of a win, this time 29 days ago over course-and-distance under George Wood. Lewis Edmunds takes over today, and knows the horse well.
This Night Of Thunder gelding is six years young, vastly experienced, and stands at a hugely respectable eight wins from 33 starts. He appeals as by far the most likely winner of this one to me, even if a 2lb hike must be overcome.
He's won off loftier marks than today's 73 and I'm extremely hopeful.
This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £90 for your total £7.50 stake.
