Lucky 15 generic

There are five UK and Irish meetings taking place on Monday, and there is plenty of racing action to cater for all tastes. Amongst the highlights for the day are the meetings at Chepstow and Windsor.

I've picked out a Lucky 15 to follow from both Chepstow and Windsor, including a colt trained by Jamie Osbourne who caught the eye on debut and could take a big step forward today. Read on for my Lucky 15 Tips for Monday, June 23.

Lucky 15 Tips - Monday, June 23

  • 14:45 Chepstow - Amazing Journey @ 5/2
  • 15:45 Chepstow - All Ways Glamorous 10/3
  • 18:58 Windsor - Nogo’s Dream @ 7/4
  • 19:30 Windsor - Orionis @ 4/9

14:45 Chepstow - Amazing Journey @ 5/2

This son of Starspangledbanner caught the eye on debut, producing a strong finish which gives cause for optimism this time round.

AMAZING JOURNEY made his debut on the all-weather at Chelmsford and, while he ran green in the early stages of the race, he seemed to settle when turning for home and showed a decent amount of pace in the closing stages to see the race out and take a respectable fourth.

It will be interesting to see if he can replicate his all-weather run on the turf, but it was a good start to his racing career, and now with a run under his belt, he is surely going to take a step forward and should go well here.

15:45 Chepstow - All Ways Glamorous 10/3

ALL WAYS GLAMOROUS had been in fine form, but a rather uninspiring run last time out put an end to his purple patch.

He finished last season off strongly with a win on the all-weather at Southwell and showed that he had wintered well by starting this season off with a respectable second place when back on the turf at Windsor.

He followed that up with a comfortable win, again at Windsor. He showed all his ability and pulled away nicely in the closing stages.

However, things did not go as well for him last time out at Sandown. He was put up only 5lb for his win at Windsor and went off as favourite, but he failed to produce, maybe finding the pace a little too strong for him.

While he is on the same mark as he was for his run at Sandown, he should find things more to his liking here as he is back down in Class, and he has a good opportunity to bounce back to form here.

18:58 Windsor - Nogo’s Dream @ 7/4

Another who had been in good form but who had a disappointing run last time out is the Richard Hughes-trained NOGO’S DREAM.

He started this season off well with two wins from four runs, one of which was over this course and distance.

However, he did not perform when upped in class last time out at Epsom. He dwelt at the start and was always playing catch-up from there.

He got slightly hindered in the closing stages, but he was still too far back to have much of an impact on the race, and all in all, it looks as though it was a bad day at the office.

However, there is cause for optimism here as he has a good record at Windsor, with one win and three second places from five runs at the track, and now back down in class, he should go well.

19:30 Windsor - Orionis @ 4/9

ORIONIS has shown steady improvement through her four career runs, having made her debut at the back end of last year.

She showed that she was one to keep an eye on when finishing sixth on debut. She ran well but got outpaced in the closing stages.

The step up to around a mile and a quarter has brought out the best in her with some impressive performances, and was capped last time out with a dominant win last time out at Ripon, where she made all and looked very much the finished article.

She looks well treated for this, and while she does not have as much experience as some of her rivals, she has shown she can win races such as these, and she should go well on her handicap debut.

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!

The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £240 for your total £7.50 stake.
