Over 2.5 Goals Tips: 7/2 shot for Saturday four-fold

We’ve got a decent amount of football coming our way on Saturday, despite the season coming to an end.

Below I’ve taken a look at the fixtures which could contain goals, as well as a Championship play-off final that offers value from the other perspective. Below you can find my over 2.5 goals tips for Saturday, May 24. 

Sheffield United vs Sunderland - Under 2.5 goals @ 8/15

The Championship play-off final is always a tense affair and I’m not expecting this to be any different. There’s been under 2.5 goals in the last four Championship play-off finals and with the way these two are set to play, that shouldn’t change here.

Sheffield United had an easy route to the final with their 6-0 aggregate win over Bristol City, but they played 4-4-2 with Kieffer Moore up top. That should allow them to bypass Sunderland’s press, while Regis Le Bris played the same system as his side sat deep over two legs against Coventry. It worked thanks to a Dan Ballard late header, but they may need to show more attacking impetus to win this final. Either way, I’m expecting another tense and nervy affair on Saturday afternoon. 

Arminia Bielefeld vs Stuttgart - Over 2.5 goals @ 8/15

The German Cup final on the other hand should contain plenty of goals as third-tier Arminia Bielefeld look to cause a shock against Stuttgart. The underdogs have beaten four Bundesliga teams to reach this final, including overcoming holder Bayer Leverkusen 2-1 in the semis. 

Football Odds

That scoreline has come in frequently for them in this competition, so that could happen here, while Stuttgart will fancy their chances of scoring a few past the champions of the third division. This should be an entertaining final in Berlin.

Arsenal Women vs Barcelona Women  - Over 2.5 goals @ 2/5 

The Women’s Champions League final comes to us from Lisbon on Saturday and it should contain plenty of goals. Arsenal beat Lyon 4-1 away from home in the semi-finals to overturn a first-leg deficit and they will fancy their chances of winning their first European Cup since 2007.

They have scored 62 league goals in 22 games this season and have plenty of attacking quality in the form of Beth Mead and Alessia Russo while Barcelona have scored 128 goals in the league this term including hitting eight goals past Chelsea over two legs in their one-sided semi. Don’t forget, Chelsea won the domestic treble in England this season, so Barca could have some fun with Arsenal in Lisbon as they target three Champions League titles in a row.

PSG vs Reims - Over 2.5 goals @ 2/5 

The French Cup final now - boy these big games just keep on coming. If PSG are involved, the safe bet is to back goals this season- and they should be able to blow Reims away with relative ease. They’ve scored 92 goals in 34 Ligue 1 matches this season while we’ve also seen just how dangerous they can be in Europe - as they prepare for the Champions League final against Inter Milan.

They’ve got what it takes to win the treble this term, and they are coming up against a Reims outfit still in danger as they enter the relegation play-off. This is sandwiched in between those two vital legs, as the underdogs also look to finish their season off on a positive note. I don’t think they have a chance here though, and PSG can make light work of them.
