Over 2.5 Goals Tips: 11/2 Saturday shout including FA Cup Final

We’ve got the final day of the regular season in France, Portugal and Germany to look forward to this Saturday, and it’s given us plenty to look at as we build our over 2.5 goals accumulator.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City - Over 2.5 goals @ 8/11

The FA Cup final. Contrast to popular belief in these games, the last two editions have seen over 2.5 goals with Manchester City winning one and losing one to fierce rivals Manchester United. Pep Guardiola’s Citizens are back in the showpiece event once again, this time against underdogs Crystal Palace.

I love everything about this Palace side, and we saw in the semi-final against Aston Villa just how dangerous they can be. With Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta both in the attack, they are surely going to find the net and cause City problems over the 90 minutes. I can’t predict the winner, but City beat Palace 5-2 at the Etihad recently and I can see a high-scoring cup final on Saturday afternoon. 

Freiburg vs Eintracht Frankfurt - Over 2.5 goals @ 8/15

Arguably the clash of the final day of the Bundesliga as fourth host third in the race to secure a spot in next season’s Champions League. With Borussia Dortmund bang in form and hot on their heels, one of these teams could well miss out on the financial riches Europe’s premier competition brings. 

Freiburg have seen over 2.5 goals in 22 of their 33 games this season, giving them a success rate of 67% over the course of the season, while Eintracht Frankfurt sit at 64%, far above the average of 59%. Despite everything that is on the line, I think we will get a high-scoring game, given Frankfurt have scored 65 league goals this campaign. Well worth keeping an eye on this one on Saturday. 

Marseille vs Stade Rennais - Over 2.5 goals @ 1/2

The final day in France also offers up some intrigue, and although Marseille have already secured a Champions League finish, they could secure the runners-up spot ahead of Monaco. They host Stade Rennais on Saturday and have seen plenty of goals this term.

Marseille have had over 2.5 goals come in during 67% of their games while Stade Rennais have seen it come in 58% of the time this term. With the quality of the attackers on show, especially for the home side, I think they could put on quite the attacking display, while the away side have also seen over 2.5 goals in four of their last five games. This game should contain goals.

AFC Wimbledon vs Notts County - Under 2.5 goals @ 4/6

Unders for the final selection. That’s what I’m going for in this League 2 play-off second leg and it’s the pick I’m most confident in for this acca. AFC Wimbledon’s defence is truly something to marvel at. They conceded 10 goals fewer than any other team in League 2 in the regular season, letting in just 35 in 46 games, while their first-leg clean sheet that helped them to a 1-0 success, brought their tally to 22 for the campaign.

Added to that, Notts County will be without striker Alassana Jatta after his red card so their attack will be slightly blunted. I think the Dons will play for the clean sheet that would be enough to take them all the way to Wembley.
