Rangers beat St Mirren

We open Saturday's away win treble with a bet on Rangers to get their revenge against St Mirren. The team from Paisley has won their previous two meetings with the visitors from Govan, but St Mirren now have nothing to play for. They secured a top-six finish and won't climb any higher. It'll be interesting to see just how much enthusiasm they have for what remains of the 2024/25 campaign.

Rangers enjoyed a rare break and time on the training field with the stand-in coaching staff, including Barry Ferguson, Neil McCann and Billy Dodds. Will that spark a strong finish to the season? Gers haven't won a game so far this month, drawing with Athletic Bilbao and Aberdeen, losing the return leg in Spain and at home to Hibs. The fans demand a huge improvement, and I'm confident they'll get it. I'm taking a narrow away win with many in the squad playing for their futures.

Hibs beat Aberdeen

Moving to our second of three away wins, we're taking an in-form Hibs to beat Aberdeen at Pittodrie. The Hibees have been excellent all year, battling from the bottom of the league when they looked likely to suffer relegation up the pecking order and into third place. They've scored six goals without reply this month, collecting a maximum of six points thanks to a 2-0 win at Ibrox and a 4-0 home cheer over Dundee last time.

While their opponents from the capital are flying, hoping to finish as best of the rest behind the Old Firm, Aberdeen are stumbling towards the finish line. They beat Hearts 2-1 at Hampden in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup last weekend but needed extra time to get over the line. There will be a few tired legs in the home camp, and I expect a fresher Hibs full of confidence to depart for Edinburgh with an important victory in the race for the bronze medal position.

St Johnstone beat Motherwell

The third and final leg of our weekend away win treble comes from Fir Park, where we're backing St Johnstone to defeat Motherwell. The Steelmen start in eighth, four places higher than bottom club St Johnstone. They're free of relegation and have failed to win any of their previous two games this month, losing 2-0 at Rugby Park and ending goalless at this venue against Hearts a fortnight ago.

St Johnstone may be stuck to the bottom of the league, but they're not about to go down without a fight. The Saints are six points off safety with time running out, ensuring the result means much more to St Johnstone than Motherwell. Following a stunning 1–0 home win over the treble-chasing Celtic earlier this month, we take a chance on Simo Valakari's side.
