Burnley vs Norwich Prediction: Clarets to capitalise at home

Burnley were not able to strengthen their position at the top of the Championship table as they were held to a goalless draw on Tuesday at Derby County. They dropped down to second thanks to Leeds United winning at Middlesbrough, but they maintain a two-point cushion on Sheffield United in third. The Clarets are in action on Friday (20:00, Sky Sports Main Event) as they host Norwich City at Turf Moor.
The Canaries experienced a 0-0 of their own on Tuesday, drawing at home to Sunderland, and they head to Burnley without a win in their previous four away trips in the second tier. Below you will find my Burnley vs Norwich predictions, featuring the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Burnley continue to cope without the services of Mike Tresor and Jordan Beyer, who are both yet to feature for the Clarets in the Championship this campaign. Enock Aygei is another long-term absentee for the hosts, while Bashir Humphreys and Jonjo Shelvey are currently being treated in the medical bay.
Boss Scott Parker is hopeful Aaron Ramsey can return to the squad soon after a lengthy spell on the sidelines but for now Burnley are set to be without the attacking star.
Parker made just one change in his side's 0-0 draw at Derby, with Zian Flemming coming in for Lyle Foster to lead the line. Foster made a brief cameo from the bench before being forced off with an injury, which Parker said "doesn't look good."
Flemming should keep his place up top on Friday as a result, while Ashley Barnes has been promoted to second-choice in light of Foster's latest setback.
The back four, that have been resilient throughout the campaign, is set to line-up again in the form of Lucas Pires, CJ Egan-Riley, Maxime Esteve and Connor Roberts, with James Trafford operating between the sticks.
Burnley vs Norwich Stats
- Burnley are unbeaten in their last 28 Championship matches
- Norwich's Borja Sainz and Josh Sargent have scored 50% of the Canaries' league goals in 24/25
Norwich look to be out of the woods in terms of their injury crisis of a few months ago, with Gabriel Forsyth and Benjamin Chrisene the only notable absentees at the moment.
The Canaries improved on their defeat to Plymouth Argyle with a point against Sunderland, keeping a clean sheet in the process. Kenny McLean operated at left-back, with Kellen Fisher playing on the opposing side, with Jack Stacey dropping down to the bench.
The centre-back pairing of Jose Cordoba and Shane Duffy continued, and should be the case again on Friday. Marcelino Nunez looks assured of a starting place in the midfield and could be reunited with McLean if Johannes Hoff Thorup restores him to his natural position.
Josh Sargent will continue to lead the line, having provided 14 goals in the league for his team. He is only three shy of his teammate Borja Sainz (17) who leads the way in the scoring charts.
The duo have produced 50% (31/62) of Norwich's league goals this term and their importance cannot be overstated.
Burnley have prevailed in 23 of their 41 matches in the Championship this term, including 11 of their 20 contests at Turf Moor. They are currently on a 27-game unbeaten run in the second tier, and they are the 8/15 favourites in this clash.
If you are seeking better returns for a Clarets victory, you may want to add both teams to score to the selection because this has been a winner in each of Norwich's past four away trips in the league - as well as the reverse fixture when the teams met at Carrow Road back in December.
You can back this market at 13/5, which has an implied probability of 27.8%.
Norwich are 9/2 to stun the hosts and hand them their first home league defeat of the campaign, but they are without a win on their travels in the last four attempts.
Two of them were draws, though, and both teams head into Friday off the back of stalemates. It's 11/4 for them to share the spoils in BB10.
Burnley to win to nil @ 11/8
Burnley had a missed opportunity on Tuesday to strengthen their position at the summit but they will be thankful that Sheffield United slipped to a second consecutive defeat on the same evening.
They return to fortress Turf Moor, which has stood strong throughout the season. With just three games left to play here, they will be eager to end the season unbeaten in their own backyard.
Burnley welcome a Norwich side who have been pretty dismal on the road this season. The Canaries have won just four of their 20 away clashes this term and they have lost 10 of them.
Thorup's men have failed to score in six of their away fixtures, which makes Burnley to win to nil an attractive selection at 11/8. This has been a successful bet in nine of the Clarets' 20 games at Turf Moor in the Championship, including five of their previous six.
The hosts have conceded the least amount of goals this campaign (12) and also boast the most clean sheets (29).

Zian Flemming anytime goalscorer @ 7/4
With Foster set to be out for the foreseeable future, Flemming looks set to lead the line for Burnley in the final run, and he has a great chance to take his league total in to double figures against Norwich.
The former Millwall man has nine goals in the Championship so far, with two coming in his past five appearances. His last three goals in the second tier have come on home soil against Hull City, West Bromwich Albion and Bristol City.
I also like the look of him to find the back of the net in this game because he has already already scored against Norwich this season.
