Plenty is going on in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday as teams battle for a top-six finish and to distance themselves from a relegation dogfight that’s already looking ugly. Both halves of the Old Firm are in action following impressive midweek wins. Rangers host Motherwell at Ibrox before Celtic travel to St Mirren for a late kick-off broadcast live on TV,

After tipping over 3.5 goals at Parkhead on Tuesday and both teams to score at Rugby Park on Wednesday, Betfred’s Frank Monkhouse returns with his weekend accumulator. He advises three away wins, finishing in Paisley on Saturday evening.

Kilmarnock to beat Ross County @ 5/4

Kilmarnock suffered a midweek defeat when hosting Rangers on Wednesday evening, but it was a match they should’ve won. New Gers boss Barry Ferguson watched on as his side crumbled under early pressure. Kilmarnock raced into a 2-0 lead and had chances to make it three before their opponents fought back.

Derek McInnes wants his Kilmarnock team to play brave, attacking football, and they scored two goals past Jack Butland last time. They lost the game due to a second-half collapse, but Killie must take the positives from midweek.

They face another tough match when travelling to Dingwall, but the locals lost to bottom club St Johnstone just three days ago, and the Staggies’ confidence will be painfully low.

Scottish Premiership Odds

St Johnstone to beat Dundee @ 12/5

We’re going for another bold call and backing a rejuvenated St Johnstone to throw themselves a lifeline by winning at Dens Park. The Saints may be 12th of 12 teams in the Premiership and staring down the barrel of relegation to the Championship, but the side from Perth won’t go down without a fight.

St Johnstone have won three of their last five, taking nine from a possible 15 points. Those efforts moved them to within three points of a Dundee side that’s lost each of their last five games in this competition. Dundee may hold the home advantage, but St Johnstone are building momentum, and I fancy them to silence their critics in the City of Discovery.

Celtic to beat St Mirren @ 1/4

We’ll need our fair share of luck to get Kilmarnock and St Johnstone home with three points each, but our teams are in decent form and are good enough to upset the odds. Celtic is priced as the banker of the three when Brendan Rodgers’ takes his Bhoys to Paisley. The visitors are favourites, and if you read my St Mirren vs Celtic preview on Betfred Insights, you’ll know I strongly fancy the Hoops.

Celtic lost their most recent away game, slipping to a 2-1 to Hibs at Easter Road. But they bounced back in the style of true champions, hammering Aberdeen in Glasgow on Tuesday.

These teams have met twice already this season, with Celtic winning both games by a 3-0 scoreline, which includes a comfortable win here in August. We’re hoping for more of the same, and you can follow the match live on Premier Sports from 17:30 GMT.
