The Uefa Champions League play-offs present an all-French affair as Brest and Paris Saint-Germain collide for their first-leg tie at Stade Francis-Le Ble on Tuesday (17:45, TNT Sports 1). Les Parisiens won this fixture 5-2 in Ligue 1 earlier this month, and will hoping for a similar scoreline on Europe's grandest stage.

Read on for my Brest vs PSG prediction, accompanied by the latest match odds and team news.

Brest vs PSG Betting Tips

  • PSG and both teams to score @ 8/5
  • Ousmane Dembele anytime goalscorer @ 1/1

Brest vs PSG Odds

Brest won two of their four home clashes in the league phase but they are 7/1 to stun the domestic champions on Tuesday.

Both teams drew a game apiece in the previous round, and the stalemate is on offer at 4/1.

PSG are the 2/5 favourites to claim the victory, but you will find better value in adding both teams to score to the selection, which struck when the two teams met on February 1, as well as their previous two wins in the Champions League. PSG and BTTS is available at 8/5, which has an implied probability of 38.5%.

Over 3.5 goals has been a successful bet in three of PSG's last four away trips in all competitions and is marketed at 6/5 (45.5%) for this clash, which offers excellent value.

Team News

Brest are having to cope without Bradley Locko (leg) due to injury for their European clash with PSG, while Jonas Martin is overcoming a muscular problem and is unlikely to recover in time to feature.

Manager Eric Roy has no fresh concerns to worry about ahead of Les Pirates' home leg, so towering forward Ludovic Ajorque will be expected to cause nuisance against Les Parisiens' back line. He was on the scoresheet when these two teams met over a week ago before scoring at Nantes on Friday, so he comes into this fixture with plenty of confidence.

AFC Bournemouth loanee Romain Faivre has been a mainstay on the right flank this term, so he will support the front man, while Mama Balde may be promoted from the bench to occupy the left side of the attack.

Former Norwich City man Pierre Lees-Melou should feature in the engine room again alongside Mahdi Camara and Hugo Magnetti.

PSG boss Luis Enrique revealed that duo Warren Zaire-Emery and Ibrahim Mbaye were receiving treatment for ankle sprains ahead of their victory over Monaco on Friday, and both are set to sit out of this first leg.

Les Rouge-et-Bleu have no other worries ahead of Tuesday's trip and January addition Khvicha Kvaratskhelia could be in line to make his European debut for the visitors, now that he is eligible to play.

The Georgian should come into the side following Marco Asensio's loan move to Aston Villa, and offer support to Ousmane Dembele, who has been in excellent scoring form since December. The French international has bagged 16 goals in his last 10 outings in all competitions, including a hat-trick against Brest just nine days ago.

The attacking trio is expected to be completed by young talent Bradley Barcola, and together, they should strike fear into the hosts.

PSG and both teams to score @ 8/5

After winning a seven-goal thriller in this very stadium earlier this month, PSG will fancy themselves to get the better of Brest again at Stade Francis-Le Ble. They've now beaten Les Pirates twice in Ligue 1 this campaign, and in both contests BTTS has landed.

PSG and both teams to score has struck in nine of their past 13 appearances in all competitions (69%) and so the 8/5 price this time around is simply too good to ignore in my opinion.

Offensively, PSG have been very good in recent months, but questions are still being asked of their defence, so opportunities are to be expected for the hosts.

I think the trend of PSG winning while conceding is going to continue on Tuesday, and if its anything like their meeting with Brest on February 1, they could have one foot in the round of 16 by the end of the game.

Ousmane Dembele anytime goalscorer @ 1/1

Touching on this man earlier, he's one of the hottest goalscorers in Europe right now. His form since December has been simply incredible - 16 in 10 is a world-class return.

This hot streak has seen him bag two hat-tricks, one against Tuesday's opponents, and the other at VfB Stuttgart in his last Champions League appearance. There have also been a trio of braces, so he could be in for another big evening in front of goal here.

I'm deciding to play it safe, though, and backing him to come away with one goal this time around, but this price at evens is still valuable given the form he is in.
