A packed Boxing Day slate awaits and we've put together a BTTS Tips sixfold for you that is purely stats-based.

This selection comes in at just over 24/1 as of the time of writing and in every game, the home team are at 80% or above for BTTS being a winning bet in matches at their own ground so far this season. Will that hold up? Let's have a look...

Dundee vs Ross County

We start with the only 100% team for home league games in the UK when it comes to Both Teams to Score and that is Dundee. Yet they are one of the bigger prices on Boxing Day.

This is because the visitors aren’t very good and average less than a goal-a-game themselves. In fact, they’ve only scored twice on the road so far this season. That is not a good recipe for the opening leg.

One caveat though, only bottom-of-the-table St Johnstone have conceded more at in front of their own fans than Dundee. This is not a slam-dunk but we’ll roll with it.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Manchester United

This is a 17:30 kick-off, so if the other five legs are in and we are waiting on this one to get us our win, then I’d do so with some confidence. Only once out of the eight league games at Molineux have both teams not scored.

With new management in one dugout and still a relatively fresh face in the visitors’ one, both sets of players should still be looking to impress their new bosses. Manchester United’s abject 0-3 home defeat to AFC Bournemouth was a wake-up call but I like them to score and concede at least once here.

Tamworth vs Forest Green Rovers

Fans at the Lamb Ground have seen their team score but also let one in on nine out of the 11 occasions they’ve played in the National League so far this campaign. This is good for 82% of the time.

Forest Green Rovers are also pretty good for this bet on the road. The last time they went away from home and BTTS didn’t come in was in late September at Oldham Athletic. The stats say this is a good play and is a great shot are any accumulators for Boxing Day.

Bromley vs Newport County

The first of three selections where the home side are at 80% for BTTS coming in. This feels like one of the weaker picks despite the top-line statistic, as the numbers underneath are slightly concerning.

Bromley have played ten games at home and in them, they’ve scored just 13 and conceded 14. That isn’t a massive margin for error. Newport make the seriously long Boxing Day trip to Kent having only found the back of the net nine times in 11 on their travels.

If you want to ignore the 80%+ stat then this might be the game to do that.

Coventry City vs Plymouth Argyle

This leg feels pretty easy to me as I watched Coventry last week against my lot and they should’ve been two or three up in the first 15 minutes. Then they absolutely capitulated at the back. The keeper is dodgy as all heck and any shot on target could easily result in a goal being scored.

I know Plymouth are bottom and Wayne Rooney’s job security seems iffy to say the least, yet I still think any team in this division can score on the Sky Blues having watched them last Saturday.

Norwich City vs Millwall

This is a classic middle-of-the-table clash and that 80% number stacks up nicely when looking deeper. The Canaries have scored more goals at home than everyone else in the Championship apart from league leaders Leeds United. No-one in the top-half have conceded more either.

The visitors’ are the concern here, as their nine matches away from the Den have only produced 16 goals. That is the lowest number in the division. With the way Norwich play though, it still feels more likely than not to be a BTTS winner.
