A 2-0 defeat to Juventus in Turin on Wednesday cast further gloom on Manchester City, who have now won just once in their last 10 games across all competitions. So, what better way to return to form than in a Manchester derby on Sunday (16:30, Sky Sports Main Event) against a Manchester United side that has suffered back-to-back Premier League defeats?

Ahead of this weekend's standout fixture at the Etihad Stadium, I have combined four of my favourite selections to produce a 10/1 Bet Builder, and you can check out my Manchester City vs Manchester United Bet Builder tips below.

Player Goals - Erling Haaland (MCI) Anytime Goalscorer

A Premier League Golden Boot winner in each of his first two seasons at Manchester City, Erling Haaland is facing stern competition this year from Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, with both players level on 13 goals heading into the weekend, although the Norwegian has played a game more due to the postponement of last Saturday's Merseyside derby.

A race for the Golden Boot never looked on in the first couple of months as Haaland appeared to be racing away with things again, but the 24-year-old's form, like his club's, has taken a downturn.

Haaland has only scored three times in his last 10 Premier League appearances and just once in his most recent four, although that did come last time out in the 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace. That strike should have restored some confidence into the Leeds-born striker and this weekend sees him come up against one of his favourite opponents, Manchester United, against whom he has a favourable record.

The Man City ace has found the net in three of his four Premier League meetings with the Red Devils, firing a hat-trick in a 6-3 win at the Etihad in October 2022 and bagging a brace in a 3-0 victory at Old Trafford a year later before ending the scoring in last season's corresponding fixture, a 3-1 win for the Citizens on home soil in March.

Despite the arrival of Ruben Amorim, Man United still look shaky at the back, conceding five times across their last two top-flight contests, and could struggle to contain Haaland on Sunday.

Player Stats - Diogo Dalot (MUN) 1+ Shots

The versatile Diogo Dalot has been utilised at left and right wing-back under Amorim, but with Amad making the latter position his own recently, it's on the left where the Portugal international is expected to line up on Sunday.

He started from that side in last Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest and registered three shots, adding to the two efforts he took in his side's 2-0 loss at Arsenal three days earlier.

Dalot is averaging 0.6 shots per game in this season's Premier League but has taken at least one in three of his four league matches under Amorim and has greater freedom to fly forwards as a wing-back.

The 25-year-old shot once the last time these two teams met in competitive action in May's FA Cup final, which Man United won 2-1 under previous boss Erik ten Hag, and I'm backing Dalot to try his luck again on Sunday against a confidence-stricken City.

Player Cards - Kobbie Mainoo (MUN) Carded

Talking of the FA Cup final, Man United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo was one of the stars of the show at Wembley, netting the Red Devils' second and final goal to help his side finish off a wretched campaign in style.

The England international was also booked in that match, however, and has struggled slightly with discipline this term, picking up five yellow cards in his first eight Premier League appearances and earning himself a one-game ban which he served against Arsenal before returning to the side last weekend.

Mainoo is averaging 1.6 fouls per game and will have to be careful of overstepping the mark at the Etihad on Sunday.

With the likes of Jack Grealish, fouled 1.5 times per game on average, likely to be in the City lineup, the 19-year-old has his work cut out to avoid a caution in the Manchester derby.

Team Corners - Man City Most

Man City have taken 131 corners in the Premier League this season, averaging 8.7 per game, and have won at least five more than any other side. They've won the corner count in 13 of their 15 matches, only losing it on the first weekend of the season at Chelsea and away to Liverpool earlier this month.

Manchester United, meanwhile, don't even feature in the top 14 for corners taken having won just 71, averaging 4.7 per game, and have lost the corner count in the last four Manchester derbies.
