Arsenal vs Manchester United Bet Builder Tips: Starboy to shine again

Two old Premier League rivals clash in north London on Wednesday evening (20:15, Amazon Prime Video) as Mikel Arteta's Arsenal take on Ruben Amorim's Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium. The visiting side are six points behind their second-placed hosts but will arrive into this midweek contest with more belief than they did the last time they faced off with the Gunners, on account of an unbeaten start to the Amorim era.
The Portuguese boss, let's not forget, has good memories of Wednesday's venue after guiding his previous club Sporting to a penalty shootout success there in March 2023, knocking Arteta's side out of the Europa League at the last 16 stage in the process. This all sets us up nicely for a terrific game and ahead of it, you can check out my Arsenal vs Manchester United Bet Builder tips below.

Match Result - Arsenal
Man United are now seven games unbeaten since dispensing with the services of Erik ten Hag, whose former assistant Ruud van Nistelrooy stepped up in the wake of his exit and won three of his four matches in charge before handing over the reins to Amorim in mid-November. The new Red Devils boss drew his first match 1-1 at Ipswich Town on November 24 before guiding the club to a 3-2 success over Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League four days later, but it was last Sunday when he really announced his arrival in England, overseeing a 4-0 thrashing of Everton at Old Trafford.
As good as that win was, Wednesday represents a completely different challenge to the one posed by the Toffees, who are now winless in their last five games following their capitulation in Manchester.
Arsenal endured a wobble before the November international break, winning just two of their previous seven fixtures, but normal service has resumed in the last couple of weeks with comfortable Premier League victories at home to Nottingham Forest (3-0) and away to West Ham United (5-2) either side of a 5-1 Champions League annihilation of Portuguese league champions Sporting in Lisbon.
The Gunners look to be back in their groove and are unlikely to be perturbed by the visit of Man United who they beat home (3-1) and away (0-1) last season.
Anytime Goalscorer - Bukayo Saka (ARS)
Talking about being back in the groove, Arsenal's 'Starboy' Bukayo Saka certainly is after scoring in his last three games to take his season tally to seven. He even handed over the game's first penalty to Martin Odegaard to stroke home in the 34th minute before scoring a spot-kick himself in the fifth minute of first-half stoppage time.
Saka's next target is Man United, and the 23-year-old has a terrific recent record against the Red Devils, netting in three of the last five head-to-heads, although he did blank home and away last season.
Nevertheless, I expect Saka to return to goalscoring form in this fixture on Wednesday to help his side to all three points.
1+ Player Shots on Target - Marcus Rashford (MUN)
Another player with a solid goalscoring record in this fixture is Man United winger Marcus Rashford, who has struck six times in 17 appearances against Arsenal, including four across his last three games. The 27-year-old bagged a brace in a 3-1 victory over the Gunners at Old Trafford in September 2022 before opening the scoring in a 3-2 defeat in the reverse meeting at the Emirates in January 2023, and his latest goal against the north Londoners was the opening effort in a 3-1 away loss for United in September 2023.
Rashford was injured for the latest head-to-head between the teams, a 1-0 win for Arsenal at Old Trafford in May, so he will be desperate to start against them on Wednesday and replicate his previous feats. The 60-cap England international has started both Premier League games under Amorim so far and scored in both, netting once at Ipswich and notching twice at home to Everton on the weekend, so he should be a certainty to begin the match in midweek.
Backing him to breach the Gunners' backline is tempting, but I'm going to play things slightly safer on this occasion, especially as I've already picked Arsenal to win and Saka to score, so instead I'll just opt for a Rashford shot on target. He's only averaging 0.7 shots on target per game in this season's Premier League but has three in two games under Amorim and has managed at least one in his last four starts against Arteta's side.
Booking Points - Each Team Over 9.5
It was a pretty tepid affair the last time these two teams met in the Premier League earlier this year when just two cards were awarded - one each to Gunners duo Saka and David Raya - but usually, we can bank on tempers flaring.
There were five yellows shown in the corresponding fixture last season - two to Arsenal, three to Man United - and both have been in the wars this season.
At the time of writing, only Chelsea (47), Southampton (44) and Wolves (36) have been shown more Premier League yellow cards than Man United (35) in 2024/25, while they have also received one straight red card - to Bruno Fernandes, although it was later rescinded - meaning they have accumulated 375 booking points this term - an average of 28.8 per game. Remember, with Betfred, a yellow amounts to 10 booking points and a red to 25, while a dismissal for two bookable offences comes up to 35 - see this helpful guide for more.
Arsenal, meanwhile, top the red card table with three - one of them a straight red, the others for two yellows (95 booking points for the three reds combined), and have been shown 30 yellows in total.
Considering the above, over 9.5 booking points for each team on Wednesday, which basically means a yellow on either side, looks more than achievable.
2+ Player Fouls - Kai Havertz (ARS)
I'm ending this Bet Builder by selecting Arsenal forward Kai Havertz to make at least two fouls. The Germany international is renowned for being a physical player and the statistics certainly back that assertion up, with the 25-year-old averaging 1.9 fouls per Premier League game this season.
Havertz has given away three free-kicks in two of his last three games - against Newcastle and West Ham - and committed two fouls in the corresponding fixture between Arsenal and Man United last season, so he looks a good bet to keep up appearances in midweek.
