Wales vs Iceland Prediction: Home advantage to play its part

There is still plenty to play for in the League B Group 4 of the Uefa Nations League as Wales take on Iceland in Cardiff on Tuesday (19:45, S4C/BBC iPlayer). The Dragons still have a shot at finishing top of the group to secure promotion, but they're asking for a lot from bottom side Montenegro against current leaders Turkey.
Iceland have a chance to leapfrog Wales with a win, which would see them enter the play-offs, so there is a lot riding on this match. Below you will find my Wales vs Iceland prediction, featuring the latest match odds and team news.
Wales vs Iceland Betting Tips
Wales are 4/6 to win this crunch match, giving them an implied probability of 60%. Iceland are valued at 9/2 to take the three points, which gives them a theoretical chance of 18.2%. The draw is on offer at 11/4 (26.7%).
Both teams to score is marketed at 11/10 and over 2.5 goals can be backed at the same odds.
Wales attacker Harry Wilson has three goals in the Nations League so far and he is priced at 12/5 to score anytime on Tuesday evening. Iceland striker Orri Oskarsson has the same number himself, and he is 18/5 to find the back of the net at any stage during this contest.
Team News
After losing Owen Beck, Wes Burns, Kieffer Moore and Nathan Broadhead before a ball was kicked in this international break, Wales boss Craig Bellamy was forced to bring Oxford United striker Mark Harris off at half-time in the draw with Turkey after a head clash with Joe Rodon.
The defender was surprisingly able to carry on for the rest of the goalless draw, and he could be left out as a precaution for this one, with Chris Mepham and Ben Cabango both ready to step up if needed.
If Harris is unable to feature in attack this time around, either Liam Cullen or Dan James could come into the team in his place. Goalkeeper Karl Darlow should keep his place between the sticks, but Danny Ward will be eager for a recall. Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies is now less than 10 caps away from reaching a century for the Dragons, which he will be hoping to reach.
For Iceland, left-back Logi Tomasson will be forced to miss this encounter due to an accumulation of yellow cards, while captain Aron Gunnarsson was forced off in the first half of the win over Montenegro due to a reported thigh problem. Victor Palsson will be primed to fill in for him if he cannot feature at his former stomping ground - the Cardiff City Stadium.
After scoring from the bench against Montenegro last time out, Isak Bergmann Johannesson has given boss Age Hareide a problem to solve in the middle of the park, as the 21-year-old could now be in line to start in place of Stefan Teitur Thordarson.
Oskarsson should continue up front alongside Andri Gudjohnsen.
Wales or draw and both teams to score @ 7/5
Wales certainly rode their luck at times against Turkey over the weekend but it was a valuable point that has put them in a strong position with a home game left to go. If we're being realistic, they are looking to secure second spot, but they do have what it takes to pull it off.
The Cardiff City Stadium will be filled with supporters there to spur the Dragons on, and it's worth noting that Bellamy remains unbeaten after his first five games in charge.
Iceland will know that the hosts will be a tough nut to crack, but knowing that they can snatch second away from Wales, they will be up for this fight. One thing I have noted that could impact this match is the travelling that both sides have had to endure to get to the Welsh capital.
Both sets of players will be up for this game, though, even if their energy levels are not quite as high as they would like. They know what's at stake and this could deliver an entertaining clash in South Wales.
There were four goals on display when these two sides met in the reverse fixture last month, as they played out a 2-2 draw. I'm not sure we get as many this time around but I do think there will be a good amount of goal-mouth action.
I think the home advantage will play its part here, but I'm not overly confident Wales can take the win, so I have covered double chance, as I could see another draw unfolding between these two teams.
The selection has been boasted by both teams to score because they both boast players who have been prolific in this Nations League campaign, in Wilson and Oskarsson. I feel like both could have big roles to play in this crunch clash.

Harry Wilson anytime goalscorer @ 12/5
Before the goalless draw with Turkey at the weekend, Wales attacker Wilson had scored in three consecutive matches in the Nations League, with the latest coming at home to Montenegro last month.
He has also been sharp in front of goal for Fulham in the Premier League in recent weeks, with three goals in his last two outings for the Cottagers. He netted a late brace to win his side's clash with Brentford, before continuing his good form with a strike against Crystal Palace. Wilson almost had another brace against the Eagles but VAR ruled one of his efforts out.
The attacker has established himself as a key player since Bellamy took the managerial position, and I believe this will continue on Tuesday against Iceland.
