Both Nottingham Forest and Newcastle secured impressive wins in the Premier League last weekend and the two face-off in one of three early kick-offs on Sunday in what could be an entertaining encounter. Forest have been the surprise packages this season, winning five and losing just one of their opening 10 games, and Nuno Espirito Santo's men will be aiming to extend their current two-game winning run at the City Ground.

Newcastle, meanwhile, threw another spanner in the title race last Saturday as they defeated Arsenal 1-0 at St James' Park, but the Magpies have not been in the best form on the road in recent weeks and could be set to struggle on the River Trent.

Double Chance: Nottingham Forest or Draw

Forest have been in sensational form this season and backing them to head into the international break with at least another point shows a lot of promise.

The Tricky Trees have won each of their last three Premier League matches, including two on the bounce at home without conceding, which has contributed to them having the best home defence in the division.

Newcastle’s away troubles have continued into this season, with just five points taken from a possible 15 on the road, and the Magpies have lost two of their last three away from Tyneside - against Fulham (3-1) and Chelsea (2-1).

However, they did draw at the City Ground in the Carabao Cup earlier this season - winning on penalties after that match finished 1-1 - and so they have shown that they can restrict the hosts. Backing the double chance may therefore be the safer play.

 Chris Wood to score anytime

Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood enjoyed a stunning October, scoring four goals in three matches to secure the Player of the Month award, and the big Kiwi will be full of confidence on Sunday.

Heading into the weekend, only Manchester City striker Erling Haaland (11) had scored more Premier League goals than Wood’s eight this season, and current form would suggest that the Forest man is the most clinical forward in the league at the moment.

The 32-year-old has scored in each of his last six appearances for club and country and this purple patch of form could see him bag against his former employers on Sunday.

Joelinton to be carded

A tough day at the office could be in store for Newcastle and they may have to resort to the dark arts if they are to disrupt the momentum of their in-form hosts.

One man who is no stranger to cautions is Brazilian midfielder Joelinton, who leads the way in both fouls committed (24) and yellow cards awarded (four) for the Magpies this season.
