Bournemouth vs Manchester City Prediction: Cherries to cause an upset?

Manchester City will be looking to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League table when they travel to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon to take on Bournemouth (15:00).
The visitors suffered defeat in the Carabao Cup in midweek, while the Cherries have won their last two league outings at home. Read on for my Bournemouth vs Manchester City prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Tean News
Alex Scott is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines for the hosts with a knee injury, while goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, Luis Sinisterra and Philip Billing will all be assessed ahead of kick-off after missing last weekend's match against Aston Villa.
Evanilson will be hoping to retain his place in attack after scoring as a substitute last time out, while ex-Man City striker Enes Unal will also be eager to feature against his former club.
As for City, they are still having to cope without newly-crowned Ballon d'Or winner Rodri, Oscar Bobb, Kevin De Bruyne, Kyle Walker, Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish due to injury.
Pep Guardiola's growing injury list now includes summer signing Savinho, after the Brazilian was stretchered off against Spurs in midweek, and Manuel Akanji, who suffered a groin injury during the warm-up for the same game.

City are 3/5 favourites for Saturday's encounter, giving them an implied win probability of 62.5%, while the Cherries are 9/2 to beat Guardiola's side and the draw is available at 100/30.
Erling Haaland leads the anytime goalscorer market at 4/5, followed by fellow City teammate Phil Foden at 2/1. Evanilson is the shortest-priced for the hosts at 11/4.
Double Chance - Bournemouth or Draw @ 13/10
History suggests that this game will go in City's favour - they've won all 15 of the meetings between the two sides since Bournemouth were promoted to the Premier League for the first time in 2015.
However, this may be a good time to face Guardiola's men, as despite remaining unbeaten in the Premier League, they've not been their usual dominant selves.
They also suffered a domestic wobble in midweek against Spurs, and the injuries are mounting up for the champions with key players missing plenty of gametime.
Six of City's last eight domestic matches have seen goals go in at both ends of the pitch, suggesting they are missing the protection that Rodri offers in the middle of the pitch. The Cherries will be full of confidence after beating Arsenal at the Vitality a fortnight ago, as well as claiming a point at Aston Villa last week with Evanilson’s injury-time goal.
Bournemouth have suffered just two defeats in their last 11 league home games, so it looks worth chancing that they can gain something against an injury-plagued City side.

Phil Foden to score anytime @ 2/1
Despite being hooked at half-time against Spurs in midweek, Phil Foden will almost certainly be given the opportunity to start again on Saturday, due to a lack of other fit options.
The England international has recorded five goals and three assists for Guardiola's side in his six games against the Cherries - he's only been directly involved in more goals against Brighton & Hove Albion (nine goals, one assist).
I think 2/1 for the 24-year-old to score anytime represents good value.
