With a whole host of football matches taking place on Saturday, I think there is value to be had in building an over 2.5 goals accumulator. Having taken a look at the fixtures in store, I've bravely gone for eight selections for this weeks acca.

Ranging from the Premier League, Championship and FA Cup, check out my 72/1 over 2.5 goals tips below.

Newcastle United vs Arsenal @ 4/5

Starting off in the top-flight, the early kick-off sees Newcastle United welcome Arsenal to St James' Park. The Magpies are winless in their last five matches in the Premier League, while Arsenal have gone two matches without three points.

Both teams will be looking to rectify this at the weekend. Newcastle have seen at least three goals scored in four of their nine matches this term, but only in one of their home matches.

Over 2.5 goals has landed in just one of Arsenal's away matches, too, but I think this market is worth backing here because both defences have looked vulnerable lately.

Liverpool vs Brighton & Hove Albion @ 2/5

Liverpool meet Brighton & Hove Albion for the second time this week after beating them 3-2 in Sussex on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup. Over 2.5 goals was a winning selection then, so I fancy its chances of delivering at Anfield on Saturday, with the two teams expected to field much stronger lineups.

The Reds have seen over 2.5 goals land in two of their four home matches in the league this season, while Brighton have seen at least three goals scored in two of their four trips on the road in the top-flight.

Nottingham Forest vs West Ham United @ 4/5

Nottingham Forest will be gunning for a third successive victory in the Premier League when they welcome West Ham United to the City Ground this weekend. We are yet to see over 2.5 goals strike in this stadium in the league this season, but I think now is a good time to back it.

The Hammers have looked very shaky at the back, shipping 16 goals already in nine matches, and Forest striker Chris Wood is in fine form with four goals in his last three outings.

Cardiff City vs Norwich City @ 4/5

Cardiff City have seen an upturn in form since Erol Bulut was dismissed last month. The Bluebirds are unbeaten in their last five in the Championship, and they host Norwich City on Saturday, who themselves haven't lost in seven.

Over 2.5 goals has been a successful bet in two of Norwich's six matches away from home this season, and they possess the league's top scorer in Borja Sainz, who has 10 goals already. With him on the pitch, I fancy the chances of this selection coming in. We have also seen at least three goals scored in one of Cardiff's last two home matches, when they thrashed Plymouth Argyle 5-0.

Leeds United vs Plymouth Argyle @ 2/5

Speaking of Plymouth, I think they could be in for another disappointing match on the road when they head to promotion-chasers Leeds United on Saturday. Wayne Rooney's Pilgrims have managed just a single point and one goal away from home so far, and I struggle to see them having any joy at Elland Road.

Three of Leeds' six home matches in the league have seen over 2.5 goals reached, while it has also been a winning selection in two of Argyle's away fixtures. I can see the home side racking up quite a few goals in this one.

QPR vs Sunderland @ 11/10

League leaders Sunderland head to strugglers QPR on Saturday, and this is another game in which I can see a few goals being scored. The Black Cats have netted the most goals in the Championship so far (23), while QPR have conceded one of the highest amounts in the division (19).

Sunderland are five points clear at the summit and they will look to extend their advantage in west London. Over 2.5 goals has successfully landed in four of their six away matches this term, so I think we will see this trend continue at Loftus Road.

Port Vale vs Barnsley @ 5/6

Into the FA Cup now and this clash pits the League 2 leaders Port Vale against League 1 side Barnsley. Both teams have been having a lot of joy in front of goal this season, with each team having already surpassed the 20-goal mark in their respective leagues.

The Valiants have been involved in four league matches at Vale Park this season that have produced at least three goals, while five of Barnsley's contests away from home in the third tier have also reached the over 2.5 goals threshold.

Walsall vs Bolton Wanderers @ 4/6

Walsall are second in League 2 and they play host to League 1 promotion chasers Bolton Wanderers. Both these teams have been prolific in front of goal this campaign, with the Saddlers netting 26 in the fourth tier, while Bolton have mustered 22 in their own league.

Five of Walsall's home games in the league have produced at least three goals, while over 2.5 goals has been a winning selection in three of Bolton's trips on the road in League 1.
