Juventus vs Stuttgart Prediction: Italian giants to remain perfect

The Champions League returns for matchday three this midweek, as Juventus face off against German side Stuttgart in Turin looking to extend their 100 per cent winning record.
Read on for my Juvenus vs Stuttgart prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.
To this point, the former Serie A champions have taken victory in both of their outings in Europe’s major club competition so far, beating PSV 3-1 on matchday one before coming from behind to impressively win 3-2 against RB Leipzig away from home.
Now Thiago Motta’s side face German opposition once again as they take on Stuttgart for the first time in club history.
The visitors arrive here on the back of a 4-0 defeat to Bayern Munich which will have dented their confidence severely and, with just one point from a possible six in this competition so far, they already face an uphill battle to qualify from this year’s league phase.
Team News
Despite their recent solid form, Juventus are still without a number of first-team players due to injury and suspension.
For this fixture the hosts will be without Bremer (knee), Nico Gonzalez (thigh), Teun Koopmeiners (rib), Weston McKennie (thigh), Arkadiusz Milik (knee) and also goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio due to him receiving his marching orders against Leipzig.
As for Stuttgart, they remain without defensive pair Leonidas Stergiou (back) and Dan-Axel Zagadou (knee), as well as midfield quartet Nikolas Nartey (knee), Justin Diehl (shoulder), Luca Raimund (calf) and Chris Fuhrick (calf).

Juventus are the 4/5 to pick up all three points in this clash, while Stuttgart are seen as considerable outsiders at 3/1 to pick up their first Champions League win of the campaign. The draw is available at 13/5.
As for the goalscoring market, Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic is the most likely player to open the scoring here at 7/2, with Stuttgart striker Deniz Undav next on the list at 7/1 to net first.
Juventus to win to nil @ 23/10
Juve have made an excellent start to their 2024/25 season, remaining unbeaten across their opening ten competitive matches of the season of which the Italian outfit have won six.
A 1-0 success over Lazio at the weekend pushed the Old Lady into third spot in the Serie A table and, with two wins from two in the league phase of this campaign’s Champions League, new manager Thiago Motta has made an excellent start to life as boss at Allianz Stadium.
Much of their early-season success has been built on solid defensive foundations. In the Italian top-flight they’ve remarkably conceded just one goal in eight matches, the fewest of any side across Europe’s top five leagues, picking up four wins to nil in the process.
As visiting Stuttgart were routinely beaten 4-0 by Bayern Munich in Bundesliga action at the weekend, a similar outcome could follow for the hosts, especially as the German side have now scored just two goals in total across their last three competitive outings.
The Reds have also historically found it tough to beat Italian opposition in major European football, winning just one of their prior 11 such matches against sides from Italy which could point towards more midweek misery for Sebastian Hoeness' side.

Dusan Vlahovic to score first @ 4/1
After joining Juve from Fiorentina in January 2022 for a huge transfer fee, it’s taken time for striker Dusan Vlahovic to settle into life with the Old Lady, but so far this season the Serbia international is flourishing.
Under new manager Motta, the 24-year-old has already struck seven goals across his 10 competitive club appearances this campaign.
Two of those have come in the Champions League, with Vlahovic netting a brace on matchday two against Leipzig to help his side to secure a huge win on the road.
He’s also scored the opening goal of the game in three matches this campaign, and with Stuttgart failing to keep a clean sheet in any of their last eight fixtures, backing him to net first in this one brings with it plenty of upside.
