Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace Bet Builder Tips: 15/1 for home success

This week’s Monday Night Football takes us to the City Ground as Nottingham Forest host Crystal Palace in front of the Sky cameras (20:00, Sky Sports Main Event). Palace have been pretty woeful so far this term, and remain in the bottom three - but a win here would take them above the dotted line.
Meanwhile, Forest are going pretty well under Nuno Espirito Santo, and will be full of confidence heading into this home fixture. I’ve put together a Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace Bet Builder for you to consider for this Premier League encounter.
Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace Bet Builder Tips
- Nottingham Forest to win
- Chris Wood to score
- Forest over 3.5 corners
- Jefferson Lerma to get booked
- Ebere Eze one shot on target
Bet Builder pays 15/1
I think our first selection is a fairly simple one. Forest currently sit in 12th and although they are yet to win a game at home, they should have the better of this encounter. I’m getting increasingly concerned about Palace this term, and there’s a fair amount of negativity coming from their fanbase, based on what they have seen so far.
The Eagles are yet to win a game this season, and have just three points to their name from their seven matches to date. Oliver Glasner built up a lot of support when he came in at the end of last term, but the 3-4-3 formation that worked so well, just doesn’t seem to be paying off in 2024/25. The issue seems to come at the back where the loss of Joachim Andersen has been more impactful than the manager could have imagined.
Palace have lost their dominant figure and balance at the back, with Marc Guehi now playing in the centre and Chelsea loanee Trevoh Chalobah slotting in on the left. It’s not worked so far, and without Michael Olise, obviously their attacking threat has diminished as well. With five goals in seven matches, they are the lowest scorers in the division so far.
It means I’m happy to back Forest to win on Monday night, while I’ll also back Chris Wood to score. He’s aging like a fine wine, and now with the trust of his manager, is delivering fantastic returns. He has now scored four goals in seven Premier League matches this term, including the opener at Stamford Bridge last time out. Given Palace’s shaky defence and Forest’s in-form frontman, I think we can back Wood to find the net.
I think backing the home side to have over 3.5 corners is sensible to extend our odds, as I think they should dominate. They have have five, three and six corners in their three home matches to date, so I think we should see that selection come in as they look to threaten the opposition’s box.
From a Palace point of view we can round this bet builder off with two selections. The first is backing Jefferson Lerma to pick up a yellow card. He is the tough tackling midfielder in this side and has already picked up three yellows in seven appearances in all competitions this term. He’s actually only started five of those as well, so that’s a pretty solid return in terms of yellows for Lerma, and I think he will be forced to make a couple of fouls at the City Ground.
Our final pick is for Ebere Eze to have a shot on target. He takes free-kicks and isn’t afraid to have a go from range so given his talent I’d expect him to test the Forest keeper at some point. These five selections take our Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace Bet Builder up to 15/1.
