North London rivals Arsenal have already made the short trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season to take on Ange Postecoglou's side, and on Saturday (12:30, TNT Sports 1) it's the turn of another local adversary, West Ham United, who won 2-1 at this ground last December.

Ahead of this Premier League London derby, you can read my Tottenham vs West Ham bet builder tips below, comprised of five selections offering odds of 4/1.

Both Teams to Score - Yes

I've not gone for outrageous odds in this bet builder but instead made five picks that I believe have a really strong chance of happening, and a £10 bet on this would still return a healthy £50 (stake and winnings) if it lands.

First up I am backing both teams to score, which feels like one of the more obvious shouts. My reasoning for this is clear: I don't trust either defence, with Tottenham keeping just two clean sheets in their first seven Premier League games, and West Ham only one.

The first of Spurs' shutouts came at home to a struggling Everton side that had also blanked in their opening game against Brighton & Hove Albion, and their second was at Old Trafford, where Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was sent off before half-time.

Both teams have scored in four of Spurs' league games so far and in two of their three cup matches - in the Carabao Cup at EFL Championship Coventry City and the Europa League at Hungarian outfit Ferencvaros - meaning 70 per cent (7/10) of their contests in 2024/25 have ended with at least a goal on either side.

West Ham, meanwhile, have seen BTTS - Yes land in five of their Premier League encounters, including their last two against Brentford and Ipswich, and in their 5-1 thrashing to Liverpool at Anfield in the Carabao Cup.

Both head-to-heads between Spurs and West Ham last season ended with both teams scoring as West Ham followed up a 2-1 victory in north London with a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium in April this year, and seven of the last nine competitive meetings across all competitions have seen both sides strike.

Team Booking Points - Each Team Over 9.5

I considered selecting each team to receive over 19.5 booking points, which would require two yellows on either side or for a red card to be brandished in the direction of both on Saturday.

Instead, I'm going more conservative by just backing the over 9.5 on either side, so we only require a single booking for each team here.

This bet has landed in the last four games between the London rivals, last failing to come through in Spurs' 3-1 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in March 2022 when the hosts kept their nose clean. It's also been a winner in six of Spurs' Premier League games this term, the only exception being their 4-0 hammering of Everton in August, while the 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town last time out was the first time a West Ham game in the English top tier hasn't finished with at least 10 booking points on either side in 2024/25.

It's a London derby, so things should get pretty tasty this weekend.

Mohammed Kudus (WHU) 1+ Fouls

Talking of it getting tasty, this is where the player fouls come into the mix. The obvious candidates to risk the referee's wrath in this fixture on the West Ham side are Lucas Paqueta, Tomas Soucek and Edson Alvarez, while Destiny Udogie and Rodrigo Bentancur are the prime candidates for the hosts.

However, to get slightly better value, I'm going to select Mohammed Kudus for the visitors. The Ghana international is averaging 1.1 fouls per Premier League game this season, down slightly on the 1.2p/g across the whole of 2023/24, with the August defeat to Manchester City and last month's 1-1 draw at Brentford - where he was taken off at half-time - the only matches in which he has not committed a foul.

Kudus has generally been operating down the left-hand side for West Ham, with much of his defensive work coming in front of Emerson Palmieri, and he's expected to reprise that role again on Saturday, which means he could be in direct contact with Spurs' flying right-back Pedro Porro.

The Tottenham man has been fouled an average of 1.3 times in the league this season and the win at Old Trafford was the only game in which an opposition player has not been whistled for upending him.

As such, the conditions look right for a Kudus foul this weekend.

Pedro Porro (TOT) 1+ Fouls

Flipping things around, I'm also expecting Porro to give away a free-kick as he is averaging a foul per Premier League game himself, only keeping it clean against Arsenal, Brentford and Brighton, while Kudus is fouled an average of 1.6 times per game.

The likes of Michail Antonio, Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen are also sure to cause problems in the Irons attack, and with Spurs' defence often exposed, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Porro make a tactical foul or two.

Cristian Romero (TOT) 1+ Shots

Lastly, I'm going for Spurs' vice-captain, Cristian Romero, to muster at least one shot on Saturday. The Argentina international scored in the corresponding fixture in 2023/24, heading past Lukasz Fabianski from a corner, and he shot again just before half-time, once again from a set-piece situation.

The 26-year-old also saw a header go off target in a 2-0 Spurs win over West Ham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in February 2023, while he is averaging 1.3 shots per Premier League game this season, trying his luck against every team except Newcastle United.

Postecoglou's side are sure to be looking for Romero whenever an attacking set-piece arises and the defender will be desperate to add to the goal he struck against Everton earlier in the campaign, so he's a useful pick for a shot in this bet builder.
