Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Prediction: Reds to cruise to victory

Liverpool head to Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon aiming to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League.
The Reds continued their brilliant start under Arne Slot with a 2-0 victory over Bologna in the Champions League in midweek and they now return to domestic action against a Crystal Palace side who have yet to win a league game despite high expectations heading into the season. Read on for my Crystal Palace vs Liverpool prediction as well as the latest team news and match odds.
Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Betting Tips
Team News
Crystal Palace have no new injury concerns, with Chadi Riad, Cheick Doucoure and Chris Richards all ruled out. Oliver Glasner could hand a debut to Chelsea loanee Trevoh Chalobah.
Harvey Elliot is missing for Liverpool, while Federico Chiesa faces a late fitness test. Arne Slot has largely stuck with a settled side in his Liverpool reign so far so major changes are unlikely.
Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Odds
Crystal Palace are still looking for their first league win of the season and are 5/1 outsiders to chalk it up on Saturday. Leaders Liverpool are understandable favourites at 4/9 with the draw on offer at 100/30.
Both teams to score is priced at 4/6 with at least one clean sheet on offer at 11/10, while over 2.5 goals is 8/15 and over 3.5 available at 11/8.
Liverpool to win and over 1.5 goals @ 4/6
Slot has made an incredible start at Anfield, winning eight of his first nine matches in charge. Outside of a shock home defeat to Nottingham Forest where the Reds were unfortunate in front of goal, he’s had a perfect start to life in England.
There’s little reason to believe their good run will come to an end on Saturday. The Reds visit a Palace side who have taken just three points from their opening six games, despite their fantastic flourish at the tail end of the last campaign.
Summer departures have forced Oliver Glasner to retool his approach and bed in replacements. However, alarm bells should be ringing after a 2-1 defeat to an Everton side who also had a dire start to the campaign.
The Eagles have conceded exactly twice in four of their first six games and they meet a side who rank second in Expected Goals. The Reds are worthy favourites to add to their magnificent start and they’ve scored twice in each of their victories so far.
With that in mind, Liverpool to win and over 1.5 goals appeals, while a 2-0 victory for the Reds also stands out at 15/2.

Mohamed Salah to score last @ 18/5
If this is Mohamed Salah’s farewell season with Liverpool then it couldn’t have got off to a better start. He’s scored in six of his nine appearances this term and that run can continue this weekend.
The Liverpool talisman has a fantastic record against Palace, scoring eight goals in 12 appearances against them for the Reds.
Salah has tended to be the man to cap off Liverpool victories this season. He’s scored the final goal in five of their games this season. That tally would have been six but for Cody Gakpo’s late flurry against West Ham in the Carabao Cup.
Salah is a tempting anytime goalscorer option at 11/10, but he stands out in the Last Goalscorer market at 18/5.
