Shakhtar Donetsk vs Atalanta Predictions
Shakhtar Donetsk vs Atalanta Odds
Atalanta can be backed at 7/10 for the victory, while Shakhtar Donetsk are 4/1 outsiders and the draw is available at 3/1.
Over 2.5 goals is on offer at 4/6, while both teams to score is priced at 4/6 and it is 6/4 for over 1.5 goals in the first half.
Team News
Ben Godfrey and Rafael Toloi are unlikely to feature in this clash as they recover from back and thigh issues, respectively. Isak Hein is also a doubt with an adductor problem alongside Marco Brescianni, while Gianluca Scamacca and Giorgio Scalvini are both long-term absentees with knee injuries.
Shakhtar look set to be without Danylo Sikan as he recovers from a nose injury but full-back Yukhym Konoplya returned from a knock last time out and should play a part here.
Atalanta to win @ 7/10
Atalanta were a David Raya double save away from beating Arsenal in their first game and the current Europa League champions are fancied to get immediate compensation when they meet Shakhtar Donetsk in this second game.
The Ukrainian champions drew 0-0 with Bologna in their first match but lost the shot count in that game 17-4 and La Dea are a step up on those opponents.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side lost just one of their 13 European games last season, beating Liverpool, Marseille and Sporting on their way to the Europa League final, where they dished out Bayer Leverkusen’s only defeat of the entire campaign.
The Bergamo-based side may not have started the new campaign that strongly but neither have their opponents.
Shakhtar have already lost two league games, just one less than they did in the entirety of last season.
They were holding on for large parts of their goalless draw with Bologna but against an Atlanta team with a plethora of attacking stars, that may not be possible and the Serie A team are taken to win.

Ademola Lookman to score anytime @ 6/4
Ademola Lookman was one of the key players in Atalanta’s Europa League win last season.

Crucial to their attacking endeavours and likely to force his way into the starting lineup, the 26-year-old is fancied to get on the scoresheet.
