Norwich vs leedspredictionsbettingtips

We’ve got a belting game on our hands on Tuesday night as a resurgent Norwich City host Leeds United (19:45, Sky Sports+). The Canaries have won three of their last four games, scoring seven goals in their last two outings, while Leeds are also clicking into gear, having won three of their last four without conceding.

The duo meet at Carrow Road, where current Leeds boss Daniel Farke won two Championship titles and remains a popular figure. His East Anglian return will be greeted with polite applause, but the home fans will be desperate to see their side secure another three points. Below you can find my Norwich vs Leeds prediction.

Norwich vs Leeds Betting Tips

  • Over 3.5 goals @ 7/4
  • Borja Sainz and Willy Gnonto to score @ 12/1

Team News

Norwich had a Borja Sainz hat-trick to thank for their latest three points, and the star man will feature once again on the left wing. Ante Crnac and Oscar Schwartau have earnt their places in the XI and Johannes Hoff Thorup seems to have settled on playing Callum Doyle at left-back and the impressive Kellen Fisher at right-back.

Leeds suffered a massive blow at the weekend when Ethan Ampadu was taken off injured, and he has now been ruled out for 10 weeks with an MCL issue. It means Ao Tanaka is likely to start in his place, alongside Ilia Gruev. Willy Gnonto and Largie Ramazani were both on top form in the wide positions, so they are likely to keep their places, while Joel Piroe scored off the bench and is pushing for a start once again.

Norwich vs Leeds Odds

Norwich are priced at 11/4 to win this game, with Leeds available at 19/20 to take the win. A draw can be backed at 13/5, BTTS is 4/6 and over 2.5 goals is 8/11. Mateo Joseph is the favourite to score first at 11/2.

Over 3.5 goals @ 7/4

Yeah, this one really should have goals at both ends. These are two of the best attacking sides in the division and they’ve been playing some fantastic stuff of late. They both scored three goals last time out, while Norwich have hit a purple patch in front of goal. Only Josh Maja has found the net more than Sainz has this term, and the winger now has six goals in seven appearances.

Norwich have threats all over the park, but Josh Sargent and Sainz are the big two. Meanwhile, Leeds have found a new way of playing. Last season they were arguably over-reliant on Crysencio Summerville, but now he has departed they have threats all over the front line. Mateo Joseph is unselfish as a number nine, while now Gnonto, Brenden Aaronson and Ramazani have all stepped up to the plate behind him. This should be a cracking fixture in East Anglia, with plenty of goals at both ends.

Norwich vs Leeds - Total Goals Over 3.5

Odds correct at time of publishing.

Borja Sainz and Willy Gnonto to score @ 12/1

Two key men and I think both will find the net here. I actually cannot predict the winner of this game, and the only thing I think is guaranteed is the fact that there will be goals. As a result, I’ve steered clear of any match predictions themselves in terms of the result, and gone for two wingers to score.

Sainz is the obvious pick for Norwich, with a hat-trick last time out and six goals in seven. He’s become even more of a goal threat now than Sargent, and has really stepped up now that Jon Rowe and Gabriel Sara have left. Meanwhile, Gnonto got his second goal of the season at the weekend with a thumping finish, and he was the standout against Coventry. I think he will once again be a threat, and should now have the confidence to finish some of the chances that Leeds create. 12/1 feels like a big price for the double.
