Juventus vs PSV Prediction: These two can cancel each other out

Juventus and PSV Eindhoven go toe-to-toe in the new-look league phase of the Champions League on Tuesday (17:45, TNT Sports 2), with both sides having enjoyed strong starts to their league campaigns.
The Old Lady are unbeaten in Serie A and yet to concede a goal in four matches, while PSV have been scoring for fun, with 20 goals in their first five Eredivisie outings. Read on for my Juventus vs PSV prediction, including match odds and team news.
Juventus are 4/5 to win this match, which gives them an implied probability of 55.6%. PSV are valued at 100/30 for the away victory, giving them a theoretical chance of 23.1%. The draw can be backed at 11/4 (26.7%).
Both teams to score is available at 4/6 and over 2.5 goals is marketed at 8/11.
PSV's Guus Til has scored three goals in five appearances in the league this season, and he is 9/2 to score anytime, or 12/1 to open the scoring.
Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has two goals in Serie A so far and you can find him at 4/1 to open proceedings and 13/10 to score at any stage during the match.
Team News
Khephren Thuram returned from injury at the weekend to feature in the goalless draw with Empoli. Timothy Weah was also fit to play a part in that match, but the Old Lady are expected to still miss Francisco Conceicao for this clash.
The likes of Douglas Luiz, Teun Koopmeiners, Nico Gonzalez and Pierre Kalulu will all be hoping for starts in Turin. Vlahovic is clearly Thiago Motta's preferred option up front but the Serbian has failed to score in three of the four games he has featured in this term.
He will look to correct this having been overlooked for the latest Serbian squad in the Uefa Nations League, and will be itching to start scoring on a more frequent basis.
PSV were boosted by the return of their star striker Luuk de Jong at the weekend and he marked it with a goal, so he will be feeling as though he is raring to go on the Champions League stage.
Hirving Lozano has been in great form for the Dutch side, but he will not be present after picking up an injury earlier this month. Noa Lang, Rick Karsdorp, Sergino Dest and Armado Obispo are also doubts to feature.
Draw @ 11/4
I think this can be an interesting encounter to see in this new era of European football, and I think a draw could be a sensible selection on Tuesday. Juventus have drawn their last two games and both were goalless, although I am not expecting this clash to be short of goals - not when PSV are involved.
Their 20 goals and five-game winning streak in the league cannot be ignored. That should certainly help Juve's goalless run of games come to an end.
Motta is still getting his ideas across to his Juve players, and it will take time before we see them clicking in the way his Bologna side last season were. The Old Lady have found the back of the net on six occasions in Serie A so far, and while it is not on the level of their visitors' tally, they should carry a huge goal threat on home soil.
It certainly makes for an excellent match-up as you have a side with a brilliant defensive record coming up against a team that can't stop scoring. For that reason I think to the two teams can meet in the middle here and produce a stalemate, but one that should feature goals.

Gleison Bremer to receive a card @ 11/4
Juventus' Brazilian defender Gleison Bremer is going to be in for a challenging evening against this free-scoring PSV side, and it looks to be the Old Lady's toughest test to date in 2024/25.
Trying to keep the likes of De Jong, Johan Bakayoko, Malik Tillman and Til quiet is going to require a spectacular defensive performance, and Bremer is likely going to be very active in this fixture.
As a result, I think there is a good chance that he will end up committing a number of fouls, and so I believe he can pick up a booking. It wouldn't be the first time this season as the centre-back has already collected two in Serie A.
The 27-year-old has been penalised five times already in the league in Juve's opening four matches, and so he is averaging 1.25 fouls per 90. Therefore, I am backing him to receive a card in Tuesday's contest.
