West Ham vs Man City Prediction: Citizens to rack up the goals

West Ham face a daunting task on Saturday when they welcome defending Premier League champions Manchester City to the London Stadium (17:30, live on Sky Sports).
Read on for my West Ham vs Man City predictions - and to find the latest match odds and team news.
The hosts are 6/1 outsiders to pick up the win with the draw priced at 4/1, while City are firm 4/11 favourites to clinch all three points.
The Citizens won both fixtures 3-1 last season and a repeat of that scoreline is 9/1.
Team News
Aaron Cresswell is West Ham’s only injury absentee, with the defender set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring issue. Lucas Paqueta and Guido Rodriguez were both on the bench in midweek and the duo are expected to be recalled for this clash.
As for City, Oscar Bobb remains sidelined after breaking his leg and he is not expected back until January. Mateo Kovacic and Rodri are both doubtful due to knocks, but Phil Foden should be available after missing the last game due to illness.
Over 2.5 Man City goals @ 11/10
West Ham haven't defeated City in the league since a 2-1 triumph back in September 2015 and given how well the Citizens have started this season, that statistic is unlikely to change on Saturday.
The Hammers have shown improvement under new boss Julen Lopetegui, who has guided his side to two wins from three matches in all competitions, but they are not at the level of City and will find it difficult to stop the visitors' attacking threat.
Norway international Erling Haaland has started the campaign in fantastic scoring form, bagging a hat-trick against Ipswich to take his tally to four, while Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Savio and Jeremy Doku have also impressed.
Backing City to score over 2.5 goals against West Ham, something they have achieved in the last three meetings with the Hammers, is the main selection for this contest.
Pep Guardiola's troops also found the back of the net at least three times in 10 of their 19 away league games last season and they can continue their red-hot form in front of goal.

Lucas Paqueta to be carded @ 2/1
Brazil international Paqueta has been a creative and attacking force for West Ham since his move from Lyon in August 2022, registering nine Premier League goals and the same number of assists.
However, the 27-year-old has had his disciplinary issues for the Hammers and after receiving five yellow cards in the top flight in 2022/23, he was cautioned 10 times in the 2023/24 campaign.
Paqueta, who committed the most fouls (47) of any West Ham player last term, has already been shown one yellow this season against Aston Villa and another could be coming his way on Saturday.
