Champions League Outright Odds: Man City remain favourites despite tough draw

The draw for the 2024/25 Champions League has been completed and now we know which teams each of the favourites will face in the new league phase. Instead of the usual groups, this season every team will be put into the same 36-team league table, playing two teams from each pot and eight fixtures in total. 

They will contest for points and the top eight teams will automatically qualify for the last-16. Then the teams between 9th and 24th will contest a play-off to join them. It’s all very confusing, but now the draw has been done we can see which teams the British clubs will face this year. Manchester City will look to get back onto the top of the tree in Europe having dominated domestically, while Liverpool will want to continue their rich tradition in this competition under new manager Arne Slot. Below you can find the fixtures for each of the British clubs in the Champions League this season.

Competition favourites Manchester City will play Inter Milan (home), PSG (away), Club Bruges (home), Juventus (away), Feyenoord (home), Sporting Lisbon (away), Sparta Prague (home), Slovan Bratislava (away).

Six-time winners Liverpool are set to play Real Madrid (home), Leipzig (away), Bayer Leverkusen (home), AC Milan (away), Lille (home), PSV (away), Bologna (home), Girona (away).

Champions League Outrights

Arsenal will play PSG (home), Inter Milan (away), Shakhtar Donetsk (home), Atalanta (away), Dinamo Zagreb (home), Sporting Lisbon (away), Monaco (home), Girona (away).

Scottish champions Celtic have been drawn to face Leipzig (home), Borussia Dortmund (away), Club Bruges (home), Atalanta (away), Young Boys (home), Dinamo Zagreb (away), Slovan Bratislava (home), Aston Villa (away).

Aston Villa, back in the Champions League, will play Bayern Munich (home), Leizpig (away), Juventus (home), Club Bruges (away), Celtic (home), Young Boys (away), Bologna (home), Monaco (away).

The first round of fixtures will be played between September 17 and 19, while the group stage this year runs all the way until the end of January! That’s an awful lot of football for us to get stuck into.
