Cardiff vs Middlesbrough Prediction: Boro to bounce back after midweek shocker

Both of these teams endured pretty crazy midweeks in the Carabao Cup, as they both conceded five goals on their way out of the competition. Cardiff gave Premier League side Southampton a right old game, eventually losing 5-3, while Middlesbrough were humiliated on home soil by Stoke in a 5-0 defeat.
Now the two teams meet in the Championship at the Cardiff City Stadium at 12:30, with the game live on Sky Sports +. Below you can find my Cardiff vs Middlesbrough prediction, including betting tips and match odds.
Cardiff vs Middlesbrough Betting Tips
Team News
Erol Bulut decided to give several youngsters a chance in midweek, but expect some of the senior players to come back into the XI for this one. Aaron Ramsey should return, along with Yakou Meite, Chris Willock and Wilfried Kanga.
Middlesbrough meanwhile started the likes of Luke Ayling, Micah Hamilton and Matthew Clarke in midweek, but Michael Carrick will make major changes for this one. Clarke and Ayling may retain their places in the back four, but Isiah Jones, Emmanuel Latte Lath and Aidan Morris will come back in after a rest.
Cardiff are priced at 11/4 to win this game, with Middlesbrough available at 5/6. A draw can be backed at 12/5, over 2.5 goals is 5/6 and BTTS is 8/11.
Middlesbrough to win @ 5/6
Now I know Boro were hammered in in the Carabao Cu, but my belief in them and Michael Carrick is strong. I think we can write that defeat off as so many changes were made, and now their starters are back in the mix, they should have enough to beat Cardiff.
I’m concerned for Bulut’s team this season and even though they earned respect against Southampton, they did concede five goals. The Bluebirds have picked up just one point in the league and scored just one goal, while Boro have a far stronger squad on paper. I think, all things considered, the away side should come out on top.
Emmanuel Latte Lath to score anytime @ 8/5
Latte Lath is well in contention to win the Golden Boot this season in my eyes, and the striker has already shown what he is about this term. His movement is superb, and he scored in the opening game against Swansea City. He’s drawn a blank since then, but its only a matter of time before he strikes again.
With Cardiff’s defence clearly shaky, I think Boro will be able to score a few goals in Wales at the weekend, and it's sensible to back their main man to find the net. Latte Lath is certainly the one to watch at the Cardiff City Stadium.
