Liverpool vs Brentford Prediction: 3/1 anytime scorer to help Reds record big win

Liverpool made a winning start to the new Premier League campaign last weekend and bid to go two from two when Brentford visit Anfield on Sunday (16:30, live on Sky Sports).
Can new boss Arne Slot build on a strong start with another strong display? Read on for my Liverpool vs Brentford predictions.
Liverpool vs Brentford Predictions
It's no real surprise to see Liverpool installed as strong home favourites at 2/9 given they lost just once at Anfield in the league last season. Brentford are available at 11/1 to cause a shock while the draw is on offer at 6/1.
Goals are also expected with over 2.5 only 1/3, with over 3.5 at 5/6, while both teams to score is priced at 8/11 and at least one clean sheet at 1/1.
Team News
Liverpool head into the weekend without any major injury concerns. Defender Jarell Quansah was taken off at half-time in their opener and he’s likely to drop out of the side for Ibrahima Konate. Outside of that, Slot should stick with the side that impressed last time out.
For Brentford, they’re not expected to include the two players they have signed from Liverpool in the starting XI. Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg are available to play, but Thomas Frank should stick with the side that beat Crystal Palace last weekend.
Liverpool to score over 2.5 goals @ 8/11
Slot’s style was on full display in the second half last weekend, with the Reds putting together some excellent passing moves. Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota fired them to victory but their movement created plenty more chances.
Brentford claimed a victory over Crystal Palace but the Eagles had chances in that game. The Bees are also coming off a poor campaign which saw them struggle away from home, losing 12 times on their travels last season, including eight defeats away to the top 10.
The Bees should avoid sliding down to 16th as they did last season, but it’s tough to see them putting up much of a fight at Anfield. Given how Liverpool pulled apart Ipswich, they are in line for another big victory.
The Reds scored 49 times in 19 home games last season and with their front four clicking, back them to score over 2.5 goals. The Bees have attacking threats of their own, so a 3-1 home win appeals at 17/2.

Dominik Szoboszlai to score anytime @ 3/1
Liverpool have an impressive front three, but the big change Slot has made is to push Szoboszlai into a more advanced position. He’s at times running past the forwards and almost leading the line.
The Hungarian had chances at Portman Road and he has shown for his national side that he’s capable of being the main scoring threat. His first season at Anfield went almost under the radar, but Szoboszlai is capable of stepping it up this term.
His new role makes him stand out in the anytime goalscorer betting for this clash. Szoboszlai is 3/1 to find the net against Brentford and, after taking three shots last weekend, he should get the chances to open his account for the campaign.
