Eredivisie Winner Odds 24/25: Sign of the times as Ajax trail PSV & Feyenoord in running

Earlier this year, PSV Eindhoven lifted their first Eredivisie title in six years after dropping just 11 points across 34 games. Arne Slot's Feyenoord side, who won the previous championship, finished runners-up but were seven points off the pace, while it was a season to forget for 28-time winners Ajax who were fortunate to finish fifth.
Below you can find the Eredivisie winners odds 24/25, with the little competition expected for the 'Big Three'.
Eredivisie Winner Odds 24/25
PSV Eindhoven @ 5/4
Ex-Ajax head coach Peter Bosz made his return to Dutch football last July when he pitched up at PSV looking to end their Eredivisie hoodoo.
The Eindhoven outfit hadn't been crowned league champions since 2017, with Ajax winning the following three titles under the tutelage of Erik ten Hag before Slot led Feyenoord to success in 2023.
But, under Bosz, PSV made a sensational start to the 2023/24 campaign, winning their first 17 league games to streak clear of their rivals at the top of the table, a position they never gave up on their way to a mammoth 91 points.
Luuk de Jong played a pivotal role at the tip of the PSV attack as the 33-year-old struck 29 times in 34 Eredivisie appearances to share the Golden Boot award with AZ Alkmaar's Vangelis Pavlidis, while winger Johan Bakayoko (12 goals, nine assists) and midfielder Jerdy Schouten were two other important players in PSV's triumphant season.
The defence of their title has been helped by the departure of Slot from Feyenoord, while Ajax are in a new era themselves following the appointment of Italian Francesco Farioli as their new head coach.
There hasn't been huge activity in the transfer market - Sergino Dest and Malik Tillman have joined permanently after successful loan spells last season, with Couhaib Driouech (£3m - Excelsior) and Ryan Flamingo (£7.7m - FC Utrecht) the only 'new' arrivals - but unlike previous summers, PSV haven't suffered a major departure.
Mexican speedster Hirving Lozano has departed for new MLS expansion side San Diego FC while Brazilian defender Andre Ramalho has moved home to link up with Corinthians, but PSV will be confident that their current squad can secure them back-to-back Eredivisie titles, while there is still just under a month to go until the market closes.
Feyenoord @ 2/1
The Slot era at De Kuip has come to an end after three successful seasons which saw them reach the Europa Conference League Final in 2021/22, win the Eredivisie title the following season, and lift the KNVB Cup earlier this year.
The new Liverpool manager has been replaced by Brian Priske, who was plucked from Sparta Prague after inspiring the side to back-to-back league titles and a Czech Cup.
Priske hasn't been helped by the departure of star midfielder Mats Wiefer, who has joined English Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion for £25.5m, while 10-goal winger Yankuba Minteh has also joined the Seagulls after impressing on loan at Feyenoord from Newcastle United last season.
Meanwhile, the likes of Lutsharel Geertruida, David Hancko and Santiago Gimenez continue to be linked with moves away, and there haven't been too many eye-catching additions either.
The likes of Julian Carranza (free - Philadelphia Union), Gijs Smal (free - FC Twente) and Ondrej Lingr (£3.4m - Sparta Prague) should at least provide competition in the squad, and if Feyenoord can keep hold of their stars, particularly Gimenez who struck 23 times in the Eredivisie last term, they should be up near the top spots again.
However, making up last season's seven-point gap on PSV could be a tall order given the changes at the club this summer.
Ajax @ 11/4
The 2023/24 season was the 124th season in the history of Ajax, and it's fair to say they've had few worse ones.
The Amsterdam giants started the campaign with Maurice Steijn in charge but after experiencing their worst-ever start to a league season, picking up just five points from seven games, Steijn was sacked in October and Hedwiges Maduro was installed as caretaker until the end of the month.
John van't Schip was subsequently handed the reins until the end of the season and while Ajax did improve under his tutelage, a fifth-placed finish was the best they could achieve, meaning they would miss out on Champions League football again and have to navigate through the Europa League qualification stages.
Despite last season's issues, there has been little activity in the transfer market. Bertrand Traore, who spent the 2016/17 campaign on loan at Ajax, has joined on a free from Villarreal, but he remains the only senior signing made by new head coach Farioli, who impressed with OGC Nice in France.
Georges Mikautadze, Jorge Sanchez and Francisco Conceicao have all left permanently after spending time away from the club on loan last season, so it's more the case of Farioli working with what he inherited, for the time being at least.
There is still quality in the squad with the likes of Steven Berghuis, Steven Bergwijn and Brian Brobbey, while Jordan Henderson's leadership skills are sure to be heavily relied upon, but a tilt at the Eredivisie title looks a long way off as things stand.
Farioli may produce miracles, and more magic could come through the academy, but it would be a brave person to back Ajax to reach the top again so soon.
AZ Alkmaar @ 16/1
Spearheaded by Greek hotshot Pavlidis, AZ Alkmaar finished fourth in last season's Eredivisie to book their spot in the Europa League group stage.
AZ only missed out on a Champions League qualification place by four points but have since lost two key players - Pavlidis (£15.3m - Benfica) and full-back Yukinari Sugawara (£6m - Southampton) - and could find it difficult to replace the duo's output, though they have attempted to by bringing in Republic of Ireland striker Troy Parrott (£3.4m - Tottenham Hotspur) and Japanese right-back Seiya Maikuma (£680k).
A first Eredivisie title since 2009 looks well beyond them, however.
FC Twente @ 22/1
The last team outside of the 'Big Three' to lift the Dutch title - in 2010 - FC Twente finished third last season to beat AZ Alkmaar to a Champions League qualification berth, but like AZ, will be dreaming, rather than hoping, of a tilt for the title this year.
