Over 2.5 Goals Tips: 5/1 acca for Saturday’s Scottish League Cup games

The final weekend of Scottish League Cup group stage action is upon us with all still to play for in the eight groups. 

There have been some big shocks and high-scoring affairs as the domestic campaign gets underway and Saturday’s action promises more of the same.

Queen’s Park v Kelty Hearts 

Queen’s Park have been one of the most exciting teams to watch in this year’s Scottish League Cup. Their three Group C games have produced 15 goals and they can put on another entertaining affair when they host Kelty Hearts. 

The visitors pulled off a big upset when getting the better of Hibs but they still need a result to have any chance of progressing to the knockout stages. 

Queen’s Park’s attacking nature, combined with Kelty Hearts’ need to win, means this is set up to be an enthralling clash.  

Dundee v Inverness Caledonian Thistle 

Dundee have already qualified for the second round after netting 12 goals in their three matches but Inverness Caledonian Thistle need a victory to keep any chance they have of moving on alive. 

Caley Thistle are looking to bounce back after a disappointing relegation last season and progression to the knockout stages would provide a big boos to morale. 

The hosts put seven past Bonnyrigg Rose earlier in the competition so know their way to goal and even with rotation, should be able to contribute to what looks likely to be a high-scoring affair in Group D.

Airdrieonians v Queen of the South 

Airdrieonians have been one of the most exciting teams to watch in this year’s League Cup. Their three Group A matches have produced 18 goals, and they should be set for another cracker when they take on Queen of the South. 

The Dumfries-based side have been no slouches on the goal front either, playing out a 3-1 win over East Kilbride last time out. 

With both teams level on six points, this could become an end-to-end affair and over 2.5 goals is the pick here. 

Raith Rovers v Hamilton 

Hamilton are another team hoping for a win on the final day to keep their chances of moving through as a second-placed side when they take on Raith. 

The hosts are on six points and could overtake Ross County for top spot if results go their way. 

All three of Raith’s group games have gone over 2.5 goals while the same has landed in two of Hamilton’s three outings. 

Side with three or more goals to be scored in this Group H clash.
