West Ham United will be looking to claim their second successive victory in the Europa League when they travel to face SC Freiburg on Thursday evening. There are some interesting markets available for this clash which we think are worth taking a look at for our punters.

Freiburg vs West Ham Betting Tips

  • Jarrod Bowen to score anytime – 23/10
  • Over 1.5 West Ham goals – EVS

Team news

Freiburg will be without Yannik Keitel against West Ham after being forced off 20 minutes into his side’s 2-0 victory over Augsburg at the weekend.

West Ham boss David Moyes has no fresh concerns ahead of their trip to Germany, but former number one goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is likely to get a run out in between the sticks.

Jarrod Bowen to score anytime @ 23/10

The Hammers’ star man Jarrod Bowen has been in lightning form so far this season, carrying on from his Europa Conference League-winning goal in Prague back in June.

Bowen has scored five goals in his first seven appearances in the Premier League, but he will be eager to get off the mark in the Europa League, having previously scored on three occasions in the 2021-22 edition when the Hammers reached the semi-finals.

His excellent start to the campaign will set him nicely for this European fixture, and another three points for his side will go a long way in helping them reach the knockout stage like they did two years ago, where they will be hoping to go one step further.

Over 1.5 West Ham goals @ EVS

While Bowen is anticipating his first goal in Europe this season, there is one West Ham star who is already up and running with two to his name already. Summer signing Mohammed Kudus netted a brace in the 3-1 victory over Backa Topola a fortnight ago, and so he shall add to Moyes’ side’s goal threat in Freiburg.

Tomas Soucek was the other scorer on that evening, and while he may not be the most common source of goals for the Hammers, he is no stranger to finding the back of the net. And so are a few others in West Ham’s ranks, with the likes of Michail Antonio and Said Benrahma.

The visitors could be in for another productive night in front of goal after their impressive showing last time out. And while Freiburg will indeed be tougher opposition given they won their opening fixture against Olympiacos, they still conceded two goals, which suggests that their back line is vulnerable.
