Wests Tigers go into this clash with Gold Coast Titans at Leichhardt Oval, Lyfield, on Saturday morning (06:00) low on confidence having lost their last nine games - while their opponents, who have won all their past five meetings with the Tigers, won't be short of belief.

As evidenced by my Wests Tigers vs Gold Coast Titans predictions, I can only see this going one way...

Wests Tigers vs Gold Coast Titans Tips

  • Gold Coast Titans -6 @ 6/4
  • Gold Coast Titans Total Points - Under 25.5 @ 1/1

Wests Tigers vs Gold Coast Titans Odds

The hosts are 7/5 to land what would be just their third win of the season, while the visitors are 8/13 to earn the victory.

A draw is currently 18/1, while over 50.5 total points in the game is available at 20/21.

Team News

Playmaker Adam Doueihi has been sorely missed by the Tigers while he’s been out after major knee surgery. The good news is that Doueihi has been listed among the reserves and is nearing a first appearance since playing in Round 6 last year.

Aidan Sezer is back this weekend after a four-match suspension and lines up alongside Api Koroisau in the half-backs.

Lachlan Galvin and Jayden Sullivan are out with respective hand injuries, while a head knock means Solomon Alaimalo won’t feature.

Charles Staines comes on the wing, with Brent Naden moving to the Tigers’ bench.

As for the Titans, Beau Fermor reverts to the back-row to make way for Phil Sami, who returns from a hamstring injury to take up a spot in the centres.

Keenan Palasia goes back to the interchange, with Jacob Alick dropping out of the 17-man squad.

Gold Coast Titans -6 @ 6/4

The Tigers are in a bad place right now and it’s hard to see them not finishing bottom of the NRL table come the end of the season.

Gold Coast have hardly been pulling up trees, but recent wins over the North Queensland Cowboys and the Brisbane Broncos have shown what they are capable of.

The Titans have a settled side and should be able to add to the Tigers’ woes and overcome the -6 handicap in this one.

Gold Coast Titans Total Points - Under 25.5 @ 1/1

While the Tigers defence has been particularly poor in their last two games, conceding 98 points, their overall conceded average per game is currently at 27.

Meanwhile, the Titans have averaged 19 points per game in attack.

Considering this is a contest between two sides battling at the bottom end of the table, a high-scoring shootout might not be on the cards here.

With that in mind, the Titans to score under 25.5 points, well above their season average of 19, looks to be the way to go.
