Wests Tigers moved off the foot of the NRL table last weekend with only their third win of the season against new basement boys Gold Coast Titans. The Tigers will be keen to continue their progress against the Canberra Raiders on Sunday, although their recent record against the side from the Australian capital makes for grim reading.

Canberra have won the two sides' last eight meetings and are one of a host of outfits in a tightly packed mid-division looking to gain ground in the race for a spot in the play-offs.

Match Odds

The West Tigers are 7/5 to back up their win over the Titans on Sunday. Visitors Canberra Raiders 8/13 and the draw available at 20/1.

The Raiders are 11/10 to successfully concede a six-point start on the handicap with Wests 5/6 to keep Canberra at arm's length with a buffer of one converted score.

Wests Tigers will hope last week's win over the Titans is the catalyst for a strong finish to what has been a disappointing season.

However, Canberra, who have had the wood on Wests in recent times, could have something to say about that.

The Raiders have won their last eight meetings with the Tigers and are unbeaten at Campbelltown in a decade.

Canberra would have covered the six-point handicap set for Sunday's meeting on six occasions in their current eight-game winning streak against the Tigers so supporting them to again win by more than one converted score appeals.

West Tigers to score under 18.5 points @ 5/4

No side has scored fewer points in the NRL this season than Wests Tigers, who have posted 205 in 13 matches at an average of just 15.7 per game.

The Tigers have scored over 18 points on only two occasions this term so backing Canberra to keep them to that mark or lower could be worth a bet as the most points they have conceded in a game against Wests in their eight-game winning sequence over the Sydney side is 19.
