After pushing front-runners Melbourne Storm all the way last time out, the Dolphins will be determined to get themselves back into the NRL’s top four when they visit the Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Sunday morning (05:00).

I'm backing them to do exactly that - and in style too - in my St George Illawarra Dragons vs Dolphins predictions.

St George Illawarra Dragons vs Dolphins Tips

  • Dolphins to win @ 1/1
  • Dolphins over 25.5 points @ 4/5

St George Illawarra Dragons vs Dolphins Odds

The Dragons are the favourites to secure victory on home soil on Sunday at 5/6, while the Dolphins are available at 1/1 to leave Netstrata Jubilee Stadium with the spoils.

A draw on the day is currently 22/1, with over 53.5 total points priced at 10/11.

Team News

Dragons’ head coach Shane Flanagan has already confirmed State of Origin representative Zac Lomax will miss Sunday’s game as he nurses a recent shoulder injury.

Queensland stars Ben Hunt and Jaydn Su’A are set to feature, while Christian Tuipulotu will come in on the wing for the injured Lomax.

As for the Dolphins, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow misses out due to a shoulder injury of his own, with Trai Fuller replacing him at full-back.

Jack Bostock is out with concussion so Tesi Niu comes in on the wing, while Felise Kaufusi will feature after playing just 10 minutes for the Maroons in midweek.

Tevita Pangai Jr is set to once again come off the bench after getting through 38 minutes last week in his NRL return after a spell in professional boxing.

Dolphins to win @ 1/1

The reason the Dolphins find themselves in the mix for the top four this season has been largely down to some excellent performances on the road.

Winning five of their last seven games away from home, the Dolphins will fancy their chances of coming away from Netstrata Jubilee Stadium with the win.

The Dragons have been leaking points at home in recent weeks and the Dolphins are a good price to be the ones smiling come the full-time whistle.

Dolphins over 25.5 points @ 4/5

As mentioned, the Dragons have been porous at best in recent home games and the Dolphins look capable of racking up the points.

The Dragons have managed to concede 122 points in their last four home games, at an average of 30.5 per match.

With that in mind, the Dolphins to score over 25.5 total points looks the way to go here.
