After months at the top of the market, last year's Grand National hero Corach Rambler looks like he could be displaced at any moment as I Am Maximus continues to garner support from punters.

The pair, trained by Lucinda Russell and Willie Mullins respectively, are now 15/2 joint-favourites for Saturday's big race.

Mullins enjoyed a successful start to Aintree's three-day meeting, winning two Grade 1s courtesy of Il Etait Temps and Impaire Et Passe, which no doubt goes some way to explaining the money behind his runner, who is the pick of stable jockey Paul Townend.

Weakness behind the title holder is consistent with what we've seen over the last few days. It's fair to say he's holding onto favouritism by a thread at this point.

One of Mullins' other runners, Meetingofthewaters, and Gavin Cromwell's Vanillier, who was runner-up last year, are holding firm at 9/1 despite significant support for a couple immediately behind in the betting.

Panda Boy and Limerick Lace are two of the biggest movers over the last 24 hours or so. The former, for the Irish Grand National-winning duo of Martin Brassil and J J Slevin, is into 10/1 and threatening to shorten further.

Meanwhile, Limerick Lace is now 11/1 having been 16/1 as recent as Thursday morning. The seven-year-old, who won the Mares' Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last month, is yet another sporting the iconic green and gold silks of legendary owner JP McManus, who has a very strong hand for this year's renewal.

Further down the market, the Gordon Elliott-trained, Gigginstown Stud-owned duo of Delta Work and Coko Beach have been backed into 16/1 and 20/1 respectively.

The former has been "flying over the last few weeks" according to his trainer, which is clearly a statement that's resonated with the public. No bullish comments about stablemate Coko Beach but someone, somewhere clearly fancies him as he was as big as 33/1 with Betfred on Thursday.

Keep an eye on Henry de Bromhead's Aint That A Shame, too. He's into 33/1 and is getting shorter across the board, so that might not last all that long.
