It wasn't to be yesterday, as just one of my three selections landed - the Detroit Pistons demolished the Indiana Pacers to win their 10th straight game, while the Miami Heat almost covered the spread against the New York Knicks and the Milwaukee Bucks were comfortably beaten by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

However, I'll dust myself down and turn to Tuesday's fixtures as there's more NBA action to enjoy. So, let's take a look at who I'm backing for my NBA Betting Tips.

NBA Betting Tips - Tuesday, November 18

  • Golden State Warriors -2.5 (@ Orlando Magic) @ 10/13
  • Boston Celtics -10.5 (@ Brooklyn Nets) @ 10/11
  • Los Angeles Lakers -12.5 (vs Utah Jazz) @ 1/1

Golden State Warriors -2.5 (@ Orlando Magic) @ 10/13

Taking the Golden State Warriors at -2.5 on the spread looks good value to me, as the Orlando Magic will be without their star player - Pablo Banchero - for this contest.

The Warriors have won their last three outings since losing to the defending champions Oklahoma City Thunder, so they enter Tuesday's encounter in good form, while Orlando are coming off the back of an overtime loss, so fatigue could play a huge part in this fixture.

Steph Curry has shown that age is just a number over the last week or so, scoring 46 and 49 points in Golden State's recent triumphs over the San Antonio Spurs.

I don't see the Magic slowing down Curry or Jimmy Butler,  if they're both at it, so I'm taking the Warriors -2.5 on the point spread.

Boston Celtics -10.5 (@ Brooklyn Nets) @ 10/11

Next up, I'm taking a look at the matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics at the Barclays Center.

Covering a -10.5 spread isn't easy but the Celtics should have enough firepower to do just that here, as the Nets are languishing at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with a record of 2-11.

Boston remain one of the best-coached teams in the league, despite star player Jayson Tatum remaining sidelined, and the Nets will struggle to keep up here in my opinion.

A big Boston win looks likely, so I'm taking them at -10.5 on the spread.

Los Angeles Lakers -12.5 (vs Utah Jazz) @ 1/1

Finally, I'm taking the Los Angeles Lakers to record a big win over the Utah Jazz.

The Jazz won in overtime against the Chicago Bulls on Monday night (150-147), and they may have used all their energy up in that game, which is why I'm backing the Lakers to take care of business here.

LA did lose heavily to the Thunder last week but they've responded in the best way possible - winning games. They beat the New Orleans Pelicans by 14 points, and then the Bucks by 24 points so a spread of -12.5 isn't too far fetched when looking at those numbers.

In addition, Luka Doncic can't stop scoring at the moment, recording 41 points in that aforementioned win over Milwaukee, and no doubt he'll be at the forefront of LA's attack here. LeBron James is also expected to suit up for the Lakers for the first time this season, and he'll be eager to make an impact.
